November 5, 2012 - Yes, that was a day to cherish! That was when I wrote my CAT after three months of rigorous practice amid my work schedule as a IT Business Analyst for a credit rating agency. I cherish this effort because there were a lot of sacrifices and a determined schedule with a work-life balance that went into it considering the fact that I prepared for five hours everyday on a weekday and even more on weekends.
At IIM L we have N number of courses that prepare us to battle it out in the world of business. But as they say, you cannot know what entrepreneurship is all about without getting into the thick of things and getting your hands dirty. From a campus which has 6 start-ups on campus itself we bring to you an excerpt from our talk with Pallavi Mohadikar, a class of 2014 student at IIM Lucknow. Pallavi is a budding entrepreneur and has recently launched her new venture Indofash. Read on to know more.

So, my Cousin, now an IBS alumni got placed with a very decent package of 6 lacs per annum. Now, I know the sum is not insanely high but considering he was a fresher and has been an average student all his life, I consider this no less than a miracle. What about all these new crop of private institutes, like Amity IBS etc, who charge a hefty fees, but a good placement is guaranteed and even at par with the best colleges if you perform well in your college and pass out with high CGPA?
I never really studied in my two years at IIM Indore. I was ranked in the late 160s out of a batch of 240 students. This is an average student talking about academics.
TISS Mumbai's HRM and LR programme (erstwhile PMIR) is arguably among the top two HR programmes in the country.
Clammy hands, butterflies in the stomach and edginess. Yes, the clock is ticking. The countdown for CAT 2013 has begun with just less than 24 hours to go for the exam which is they gateway to 13 IIMs. A major chunk of the 1.94 lakh aspirants must be facing the pre-exam jitters right now.
