Yash was born and brought up in Ahmedabad, where he spent the first 18 years of his life completing his schooling before moving to Delhi to pursue his under graduation from the National Institute of Fashion Technology. After his graduation, he worked with a menswear shirting company based out of Ahmedabad called ACNF and has had internship experience with Allen Solly, Arvind, and Zilingo. In this interview, Yash shares his XAT preparation strategy and how he prepared for the interviews, that eventually helped him make it to XLRI Jamshedpur. Read on!

IIM Bangalore Placements 2023: Average Salary at 35+ Lakhs

IM Bangalore placements report for 2023 reveals that the median salary is INR 33.00 lakhs and the average salary is INR 35.31 lakhs. Once again, Management Consulting was the preferred domain, with 42% of the batch opting for roles in the sector. BCG was the top recruiter during final placements, extending 26 offers to the batch. How I Cracked CAT And Made It To IIM A On My CAT 2nd Attempt? Ft. Khushboo Rao, CAT 99.73%iler

Khushboo Rao is a 2021 Mechanical Engineer from LNMIIT. Post her undergrad she joined ZS Associates as a Business Operations Associate. It was during her job at ZS that Khushboo decided to take CAT again after her failed attempt in the past and finally ended up scoring a 99.73%ile in CAT 2021. In this video, Khushboo shares her prep strategy, how she was weak in QA despite being an Engineer, how she managed prep alongside a hectic job, how she made the optimum usage of mocks, and finally, how she scored her maximum in the QA section on the day of CAT 2021. She says that she always dreamt of the Louis Kahn Plaza (IIM A) since the very start and finally managed to get there. How I Made It To IIM Kozhikode As An NRI Candidate - Nihar Desai, GMAT 680

Coming from a middle class family and having to choose between sports and education, I put my chances on education. Getting into a high quality university in India is tough, but going abroad and competing with my overachieving compatriots for a place at a European university is a whole different game. I didn't even comprehend the challenge when I headed to the University of Twente in the Netherlands. Getting a European degree became even more difficult with the start of the pandemic. Exams were declared online so I decided to move back in with my parents to save costs. However, the university suddenly changed their exam policies due to a regulatory loophole and I was summoned back at short notice. Unfortunately, I had already lost my accommodation and I couldn't find anything within my family's budget. That meant I had to either find a workable solution quickly, or discontinue my studies. Overcoming my shame, I asked a friend if I could stay with him for a while. A student dorm room is small so my private space was restricted to a small section of the floor. However, that solution allowed me to complete two modules of my studies successfully.

I had always been inclined to do something that connected my creativity with my profession and fulfilled my heart. Just like many other young adults right out of college, I was also confused about what to do with my life. I am an engineering graduate and I joined the placement offer I had got from my campus like many of my friends and while I worked in tech, I kept on wondering what I can do to have a good career and also fulfill my heart’s will. It was at that time, in 2021, that one of my closest friends appeared for the CAT examination and eventually got into IIM Calcutta after a great deal of toiling and scoring extraordinarily. I was much inspired by her journey and her goals and I learned about the prospects from her in detail. She also had a creative mind and the interesting connection of creativity and analysis in business drove her into pursuing MBA and also drove me into starting my preparations for it.
