IIM Kashipur's latest admission criteria are out! In the 2022-2023 admissions season, IIM Kashipur has lowered the CAT cut-off from 93 percentile in 2021 to 92 percentile in 2022, with sectional percentiles at the 70th percentile. This year, as per IIM Kashipur's admission policy document, candidates will be shortlisted for the PI round based largely on their overall CAT 2022 percentile. Further, female candidates and non-engineers will have a significant edge in the selection process. Here's a quick breakdown of IIM Kashipur's selection criteria.
My Background
I completed my Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering in 2020, followed by 18 months of work experience in the Quality Assurance domain with Cognizant.
In November 2021, shortly after giving CAT, I learnt about BITSoM through a LinkedIn article. My interest in BITSoM was piqued in particular by the mention of Dr. Ranjan Banerjee as the Dean. I was fascinated, but I held off on applying until I finished my examinations. Before applying in January 2022, I wanted to learn more about the school, so I contacted a few BITSoM students on LinkedIn and gained a much deeper understanding of the institution. I applied in the second round of application after learning about the course offerings, instructors, and opportunities for exposure at BITSoM.
CAT 2022 recently got over, and I can sense the feelings of the candidates who went through the process and did not get desired results. Too much heartbreak and too much of "Oh, why did I choose that DILR set" etc. While it is obvious because of the kind of effort people put in, it's not advisable and wise to keep wasting time in repentance.
We are back with yet another conversation with two marketing stalwarts, that will bust some marketing myths and reveal new threads for you to think about.Team InsideIIM went to SDA Bocconi School of Management, where we had an insightful chat with Andrea Rurale and Stefania Borghini of Bocconi University, Milano, Italy, who were visiting the campus. We got to talking about all things marketing, and what brands think about when crossing geographical boundaries to establish their businesses.
Andrea and Stefania talk about the various marketing campaigns brands have come up with that help them build a persona, and stand for a purpose, and how that helps consumers to feel deeply about the brand and hence engage with it. Consumers aren’t actively looking for new products to engage with and go about their day trying to make ends meet. So in order for a brand to capture the consumer’s attention they need to actively inform the consumer about their presence to develop familiarity in the consumers’ mind. This is just one of the many nuggets of invaluable insight that Andrea and Stephania share with us.

B-schools across the country suffered a big deal when it came to the pandemic and the hiring freeze. But most B-schools have now overcome the shock and things are going back to normalcy for many such b-schools across the country.
