Life was good, I had it all, a stable job, amazing friends, caring family and most importantly a monotonous but simple routine. Time changed, however, I remained the same, an average person who worked just to sustain life. This was my story, the story which led me to question my existence every single day until I had a sudden epiphany to create a unique legacy.

Why did I choose to be an MBA graduate? I have been working as a software engineer in a renowned organisation. It took me only few days after I joined it, to know myself that it is not my cup of tea and definitely not a long-term goal. The reason behind not liking it was quite simple. There was a very little room for me to be part of any change in the organisation. I believed I can do more apart from the technical aspect alone. I wanted to transition myself into managerial roles and amplify the impact by applying the same talent to a broader range of problems.

The MBA journey is a rollercoaster ride for everyone, balancing work and exam preparation easier said than done. Being a GEM candidate from VIT Vellore with two years of IT experience, and next to nothing for extracurriculars, I was realistic from the beginning that I'll be competing in the most cutthroat bracket of aspirants. I will focus on the GDPI aspect only in this article as the core story.
