Final admit from the B schools are pouring in, many of us have converted, many of us are just looking at the sluggish waitlist movement. Amidst all this there are many of us who are heart broken and wondering, "In the end, was it worth it?".
Hello everyone. This is the story of my pursuit of an MBA. This is not your typical story or redemption and its going to be quite long. Apologies to all who thought they would be reading a short write up. On a lighter note take it as an RC passage for CAT .
Dance is not just a hobby for me, it’s a part of my soul. The sound of the ghoongroo on the big stage is enough to fire millions of neurons in my brain. I started dancing when I was just 6 years old. It was a solo dance competition in my school for the 1st grade. At the end of my first ever stage performance, the auditorium was reverberating with applause and energetic hoots. The feeling of having performed so phenomenally was further elated when I was awarded the first position in the competition. After that, there was no looking back.
Over the years, we have received numerous stories of MBA students sharing sneak peeks of the good, bad and the ugly of their B-school lives. While thousands of stories exist about 'learning' and 'opportunities' and 'friendships', only a handful have the courage to share stories of the 'reality of MBA' in India - stories of what goes on behind the scenes; and that too, anonymously.
The Avengers-Endgame movie which released this Friday has been running to packed houses. Each and every person going to watch the movie is having a blast, including myself. Being a student from a B-School, I could not help but draw parallels between the characteristics of my dream company to the characteristics they possessed.
Be it bad luck, poor preparation or just the huge number of competitors in India, it is a fact that many aspirants are not going to get a B-school of their choice. Some would be fine with a compromise, others would not. This article tries to address what one should do in the latter case.
As students of HR, a pressing question that kept coming to our minds was “Is technology making HR redundant?”
Life is a race. Just have a look around you for a while. Who am I kidding? Who has got so much time to look around. Everyone is so damn occupied in that race which has practically no end to it.
