It is a known fact that IIT Kanpur is renowned for its humongous fests like Antaragni, Techkriti, and Udghosh. Still, among all these classics, there is a relatively new but a fantastic fest that is coordinated by the MBA students of IIT Kanpur. The event focuses on raising the sense of business among us and create a Prabandhan for intellectual minds to recognize the real profundity of their ideas, which can potentially be a successful venture.
CAT 2019 was a paper with moderate difficulty. CAT takers found the questions in the quant and -DI-LR sections to be lengthy and time consuming, while VA-RC to be tougher than last year’s paper. But what do the experts have to say? In this article, experts assess the difficulty level of the test and estimate cut-offs.

Richard Adams once wrote, “You know how you let yourself think that everything will be alright if you can only go to a certain place or do a certain thing. But when you get there, you find it’s not that simple”. There's this point that inevitably arrives during that part of our MBA when it feels like you don't know what the future holds, but at the immediate present, everything is just right. That oblivion doesn’t extend towards life after MBA, and even though we are aware of it, we just don't realise what it means in its details. The intent of this story isn't to portray a world of negativity outside after your MBA, but to show you the thoughts that didn't occur to me then, but do now.
Evolution has been an integral part of human civilization. At a certain point, there were about six different species on earth and their ecological impact was as meager as other animals on this planet. But today, seventy thousand years later, we, the Homo sapiens are the undisputed rulers of the planet. Our evolutionary road is marred with blood and decorated with some of the greatest innovations, discoveries and inventions. From being simple foragers to settling along the fertile river plains to building some of the greatest economies operating on complicated principles of capitalism, socialism and democracy, ours has been a breath-taking tale of perseverance and genius.
If there was just one thing I wish I could convince my aspirant self, it would be to believe that the dark, rocky road she was travelling on-that dreadful ambiguity, is going to make sense very soon. But, then I would just be spoiling her about the best chapter of her life yet. I would tell her to once in a while, give herself the credit she was due for arriving at the decision that she wanted to pursue an MBA, finding the determination to chase it and moving past all the random hindrances in the way that had no business to interfere with her journey. The day she would realise that nothing was ever random, that everything was leading her to the moment she converted a top tier B-School was coming very soon. Until then, I'll write her a letter and hope that it finds her well.
