TISS Mumbai is well known for running one of the best HR programmes in the country (the Human Resources Management and Labour Relations programme). With 18 months having passed after graduation of the class of 2012, we thought it might be a good time to ask – What percentage of graduates from the batch of 2012 has changed their jobs. Generally it takes a little over a year for graduates to assess their career prospects with the jobs they got placed into. The number of job changes within an eighteen month time frame, therefore, gives us an estimate of a number of things:
This is the first in our series of placement reports for 2014. XLRI has had enjoyed another great year in final placements. Last year's performance has been exceeded on almost all parameters, be it number of PPOs, breadth and diversity of profiles, number of companies making offers, and the list of marquee recruiters.

Everyone and their uncles are busy commenting and advising on the placements season that is approaching fast. At most B-schools, the atmosphere had decidedly become more serious and brimming with self-confidence. Yet beneath the veneer, lie a few murky truths and a few clear writings on the wall which no one wants to talk about.
