Everyone and their uncles are busy commenting and advising on the placements season that is approaching fast. At most B-schools, the atmosphere had decidedly become more serious and brimming with self-confidence. Yet beneath the veneer, lie a few murky truths and a few clear writings on the wall which no one wants to talk about.

This is the first time we are covering the placements at IIFT.
We are well and truly in the placement season and some top business schools already have over 20% of their batch placed!
Summer placements at all Top B-Schools have recently wrapped up and the results show that placement trends have been better than previous years. Summer placements have always been considered special given-
Year after years, generation after generations, everything else on the campus comes to a screeching standstill. We call it the placement season. XL-culture manifests itself in its divine unadulterated form when throat cutting competition is lubed with pampering and support. Presenting the A-Z of this extravaganza which, invariably, makes some eyes well up with satisfaction while shattering some dreams forever.

IIM Indore concluded a very successful summer placement season in Mid-November. This is the fourth summer internship season since the batch size doubling took place to 450. This batch has over 130 women. The main highlights for us have been the higher number of offers made by marquee recruiters, the surge in the FMCG sector hiring combined with more offers in the Sales & Marketing domain and the special focus on e-Commerce, Media and Advertising jobs.
