On 13th March 2021, the Xavier University, Odisha (Amendment) Bill 2021 was passed in the Odisha State Assembly, renaming Xavier University as XIM University. This Amendment Act has now received the consent of the Hon'ble Governor of Odisha and has been published as notification in the Gazette. With this Xavier University has been renamed as XIM University.
The inauguration of the Class of 2021-23 of the Post Graduate Programme in Enterprise Management (PGPEM), at Indian Institute Management Bangalore, was held this morning. Dipesh Shah, Managing Director at Samsung Research India Bengaluru, and Vinod Nair, Co-Founder & Director, Enzen Global, were the chief guests. The batch comprises 75 individuals, including nine women, from diverse professional backgrounds with an average work experience of 12 years.

Arthashastra - The Economics Club of IIM Bodh Gaya held a webinar on the Indian Economy on 25th March 2021. The event revolved around the impact of policies and governance on the Indian Economy as a response to the pandemic and the Indian Economic Survey 2020-21. The session began with a welcome speech by Dr. Vinita Sahay, Director, IIM Bodh Gaya who shared and emphasised on the importance of economics, economists and how important it is for the young minds of the country.
Khlurthma is the Annual Management Fest of IIM Shillong that invites participation from all premier B-Schools across India, which took place from 12th to 14th March 2021. “Khlurthma”, the name translates to a "Battle of Stars", the origin of words being from the local Khasi language, spoken primarily in the state of Meghalaya. It tests the participants’ business acumen and aptitude to solve real-life business problems in various management domains. The competitions aim to challenge the inventiveness, ingenuity, and business intelligence of the students. The 3 days were filled with competitions and performances with a total of more than 2700 participants and the prize money totaling up to 4 Lakhs that is organized by the 8 clubs of IIM Shillong.
Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) recently completed summer placements for its Flagship MBA (IB) Programme, batch of 2020-22 with the largest-ever batch of 401 students placed across 123 companies including 46 new recruiters with an average stipend of 1.61 Lakhs for two months, while the median stipend stood at 1.50 Lakhs. IIFT managed to retain the highest stipend of 3.2 lacs for two months despite a 20% increase in batch size compared to last year. The top 100 students of the batch received an average stipend of 2.37 lakhs for two months with 70% of the batch receiving a six-figure stipend.
Film lovers and enthusiasts enjoyed an aural treat of various movie screenings at IFMR GSB’s flagship cultural program ‘Abhyudaya’. Loaded with entertainment and thrill, and participation from other countries too, the audience got to watch two film screenings in addition to films submitted by participants for the competition.
It is believed that in the face of challenge, always lookout for opportunities. This is exactly what Team Abhyudaya did, putting their collective efforts towards making IFMR GSB’s flagship cultural program a huge success albeit on an online platform.
