Indian Institute of Management Rohtak organised a management summit at Chelmsford Club, New Delhi on 9th September, 2017. The theme of the summit, ‘Crossroads: Paradox of Choice’, attempted to counter the idea that having too many choices is a good thing. The summit was attended by dignitaries from various industry sectors as well as the media.
MBA (HRD) Department of Commerce, Delhi School of Economics organised a Guest Lecture on the topic ‘Importance of Personality Testing in Industry’ on 21st September 2017. To present the lecture, we invited Dr. Pooja V. Anand, Assistant Professor, Daulat Ram College, University of Delhi.
On the 14th of September 2017, the Vinod Gupta School of Management had the privilege of hosting Mr. Ashwin Gaidhani, Senior Manager, CTO Themes at Wipro Limited under its newly launched guest lecture series Pratyaksh. After completing a program in Mechanical Engineering, Mr. Gaidhani went on to work with industry majors like General Electronics, Genpact, and Wipro. In his illustrious career of over 11 years, Mr. Gaidhani has worked extensively in areas like IT Service Management, Vendor Management, and Artificial Intelligence.
VGSoM Consulting Club known by their popular moniker VC2, launched their campaign of this year with the riveting “Rananeeti”. It was the first time that such an event was being conducted and no one had an idea that such an event was up the sleeves of VC2.
Last week on the 10th of September 2017, the 1st year students of the Vinod Gupta School of Management, IIT Kharagpur took a deep dive into the world of Supply Chain - one of the most significant aspects of any business in the present age. The trigger that led them to this opportunity of exploration was ‘Chain Reaction 3.0,’ an event on Supply Chain conducted by ScOpe - the Supply Chain and Operations Club of VGSoM.

Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Hyderabad invites applications for PGDM programs for the batch 2018-20. Candidates should have valid CAT 2017/GMAT/CMAT 2018/XAT 2018 Score. Last date to apply is November 24, 2017. IMT Hyderabad will conduct the Critical Thinking, Group Exercise and Personal Interview Process (CT, GE and PI) in the first Week of February 2018 for the shortlisted candidates.
January 2015 : It was yet another monotonous day in office. However, things were even gloomier that day. XAT 2014 results were out and while I had managed to score a decent percentile (97), I had royally screwed up in the decision-making section, managing a paltry 69 %ile, thus ruling out all hopes of pursuing my dream of an MBA from an elite b-school in India that year. I had given only CAT and XAT in 2014 and had not done well in CAT either. This ended my below average MBA exam-season of 2014-2015 with just a SJSOM (IIT-Kharagpur) call.
