The admission to 20 IIMs (Old, New and Baby) and hundreds of public (schools like NITIE, SJMSoM etc.) and private business schools (SPJIMR, MDI etc.) will take through the scores of the Common Admission Test to be held on this Sunday in November.
In response to my article on the Gap Year, there have been several queries regarding how to prepare for GK. For XAT, GK is a part of the entrance exam, while several exams don’t have this it always helps to be updated on Current affairs, be it for GD/interviews
When I left my hometown (Samastipur, Bihar) for embarking on my 2- year PGDM journey at LIBA, Chennai, I never knew that I will fall in love with my new home within a month. But that is how LIBA is. It grows on you.
As the train left Rourkela station on 16th of june, 2017, there wasn’t a tiny bit of sadness on my parents’ face. There was but a whole ocean of pride, easily discernible. Their son was going to an IIM, the nearest one to home. “Make sure you come home on alternate weekends, beta”, were the last words I heard my mother say before the train noisily dragged out of the station.
IIFT has released IIFT 2017 notifications. It will be conducted on 26th November 2017 from 10 am to 12 pm. SAVE THE DATE!

Lately, I’ve been receiving a lot of queries from my friends pertinent to the VA section of CAT about which they (especially the engineers) are highly paranoid and consider it as an obstacle in their crusade of acing CAT ’17. I’ve personally come across plenty of such cases where people who had scored 99+ percentile in both QA and DI/LR witnessed a ridiculous plunge in their VA percentile to as low as 70!
In 2014, I was in the final year of my engineering. I had got a campus placement in one of the coveted companies, my engineering college was the top private college in the state of Andhra Pradesh (Now Telangana), and I was just 21, the future looked bright, and for the first time in my life I stepped out of my home and went to Mumbai the land of dreams.
