Stylish summer @ L’Oréal
Some days before the start of my internship, while browsing through my Facebook page, I came across this.

Interactions, formal or informal, with seniors told me that B school summer internships are a nightmare more often than not. You are one intern in a leading firm expected to deliver results which are unreasonable. And so we reached Vinfotech on April 1, 2015, all set to sacrifice every calorie, minute and happiness for the next two months. Much to my surprise, the scenario was far from my horrifying presumptions.
“You’ve got to unlearn some things you know before you learn new concepts” was told to me by one of my professors right on the first day of MBA. Last June, I was started college after having worked for almost 4 years in the space of consulting & I had mixed feelings about it. But right from the day I started my MBA, I was excited about interning during the summer. I was opting for marketing (a shift in my career from HR) & this would be my first brush with the wide world of marketing.

My summer saga did not start on the 4th of April, 2015 when I landed in Kuwait, neither did it start when I appeared for Alshaya’s selection process some months back…the journey towards Alshaya started almost about the same time I took admission in IIM Lucknow, in a subtle way of course.
Life at a B-school is full of peaks and valleys. It had been all hectic, full of thorns in the form of assignments, classes, unimaginably long nights and sleepy days until one fine afternoon which gave me a justified reason for all the delayed gratification. I got to know that I had been selected to work as summer intern at one of the most sought after companies on campus or rather a bank-HSBC.
Internship in Aditya Birla Group Leadership Program is one of the most coveted internships in the campus. Selected for one of the prestigious conglomerates in the HR profile, my joys knew no bounds.
