The First Exposure To Corporate Life - Internship At RSM Astute Consulting, Mumbai

The First Exposure To Corporate Life - Internship At RSM Astute Consulting, Mumbai

I am a student who is pursuing an MBA and as per the curriculum, we are supposed to do an internship for a period of 2 months in our second year. Summer Internships are very crucial as they are the first exposure for any B-school grad to the corporate life. RSM was one of the reputed organization which came to our campus for the recruitment process. Just like my fellow mates, I also applied for its recruitment process. RSM shortlists students based on their resume and then the selected students appear for the personal interview. Luckily, I made it to the interview process and a few weeks later, a mail pops up in my inbox and I was thrilled to know that I got selected as an Audit Intern at RSM Astute Consulting Pvt Ltd.

The Time For Implementation - An Internship Saga At Dell

The Time For Implementation - An Internship Saga At Dell

The journey of every MBA student starts with a rush of activities and studies, but the ultimate goal is the implementation of those learning. My journey also started with a similar pace, from trying to manage stuff here and there, then ultimately able to balance it all. The main grill was not the college studies, or activities, but the real adrenaline rush came when I sat for the internship interview. Dell was the first interview I sat for, which started with group discussion followed by, technical interview, HR interview and at last the Director's round. Every round was an elimination round and I was lucky enough to clear all the rounds and get this amazing internship. So, the grill is easy just be calm and composed; speak what you know, don't cut out anyone else's statement and they will consider you. As the company wants managers and not someone with just knowledge, so be calm even if you are from a different background. The only sure thing should be the current educational knowledge of MBA and confidence.

Internship At Robert Bosch Through The Business Challenge - Many Roads To An Internship

Internship At Robert Bosch Through The Business Challenge - Many Roads To An Internship

Being a finance major with an engineering background, I started by planning to get certifications, participating in finance quizzes and attending panel discussions to get some learning and add value to my resume. I have completed my internship in Bosch and got selected through their business challenge. Fortunately or unfortunately, the process did not involve any GD rounds, technical finance interviews or even resume shortlisting. I was supposed to present the Business model of the problem statement which was something I had not tried before. A week before I started my preparations - referring various business model templates, interacting with my professors and seniors helped me to get a clear idea about how my presentation should be structured. The panel really liked my presentation and answered all their questions with my best understanding. It was a tough week for me as exams were also going on, but the hassle was worth the tassel. I got selected in Bosch and was super excited to work with the DNA team - Startup Alliance Program of RBEI (Robert Bosch Engineering and business solutions).
