So, when I finally made it into IIFT Delhi - like many other freshly arrived B-school students - I was naturally filled with zeal to crack every case study competition that was going to come my way.

Orientation Being a fresher, I was all geared up for my first in-depth corporate experience with a conglomerate of this stature. With butterflies in my stomach, I entered the Ferrero Office in Pune, to be welcomed by the Sr. HR Executive Ms. Priya, who was responsible for the orientation as well as being the SPOC for the coming 9 weeks.

Once in a while, every MBA student comes across a time when he starts seeing his fellow placement committee friends (aka placecommers) as the angels in disguise. This is the time when you are supposed to get out of your comfort zone and move out to the world for which you were preparing so hard. So, after a year of rigorous academic conditioning, making hundreds of presentations, a number of discussions with mates and faculty about possible career opportunities, the time I mentioned above finally arrived.
During 2 months of internship at Servify, I was exposed to various facets of product management and it gave me a holistic idea of the Warranty solutions business model the company operates in. I understood the founder’s reasons & visions for starting the company. The company has enormous potential for growth both in domestic and global market (Market size of $40B) for electronics, appliances & smartphones.
Recollecting the memories of a few months back at IIM Jammu, I still clearly remember the moment when I received my internship offer letter from Schneider Electric India Private Limited. I had always heard people talking about Fortune 500 companies and their work culture. When I was pursuing my undergraduate from Miranda House I always had a strong desire to have my first corporate experience in Global Fortune 500 and Schneider made my dream come true.
