Testing The Waters Of The Insurance World As A Management Intern

Testing The Waters Of The Insurance World As A Management Intern

Summer Internships are not only about breaking down the barrier between the classroom and the corporate world. For many management aspirants, they bring down the walls of their own perceptions and limitations they set for themselves. Aditya Gajra recently experienced it firsthand as he completed his internship with Birla Sun Life Insurance (BSLI). He looks back on the experience and says, “Even though I was working with a renowned brand, initially I was overwhelmed with the tough prospect of selling insurance products. But after I managed to convert some leads and generate sales, it was the biggest confidence boost I could have gotten for my career.”

Three Lessons Of HR Internship - Rubal's Internship Experience At L&T

Internship started like usual internships start, inductions and presentations about the Organization. But the twist here was the organization I was interning in, it was L&T. One of the organisations which is known for its great building techniques and structures it has erected over the past years. Some of the structures which are keeping people in awe are T2 of Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, Bengaluru International Airport and presently they are also constructing the biggest iron statue in Gujarat of Sardar Vallabbhai Patel.

Anooj's Dream Internship At Credit Suisse - IFMR

My summer internship was with Credit Suisse Business Analytics India. Credit Suisse Group is a financial services company, advising its clients in all aspects of finance, across the globe and around the clock. They have various businesses and departments that operate out of India. I had been selected as an intern for the Market and Liquidity Risk management – Mumbai. About the internship programme - It was a multi-fold, well planned and a structured corporate summer internship programme. I, as an intern, had to undergo a rigorous structure of work for the tenure of 9 weeks. The day I arrived, I had an induction program by various support departments and was allotted my manager and my desk. The following two-three days were spent on raising access for various system software that was required for the next 9 weeks, and primarily understanding the work my team does.

From Electronics To Analytics - Shubham Kala’s Internship Experience At Fidelity Investments - SIBM Bengaluru

September 13th, 2016 - Curfew is imposed in Bengaluru as violence erupts around the city over Cauvery Water Dispute. The city is at standstill and so is our placement for summer internships. By this time, I have applied to three firms and none of them have yet visited the campus. By evening of the same day I receive a mail that one of those firms will be visiting our campus tomorrow. I walk in for the first round, carefree, without even putting on a blazer. Looking at 100 other desperate applicants and an engrossing pre-placement talk made me realise what it would mean to be a part of this organisation. I rushed back to my room, climbed 7 floors, dashed into my room and reached out in the cupboard for that freshly dry cleaned blazer. I walked back into the interview room with a clearer head, and as destiny would have it, by the end of the day I am offered an internship at Fidelity Investments which I wholeheartedly accept. A year has gone by and I still thank God that I ran for that blazer!
