A Tribute To Mother - Aarushi Gupta, NMIMS Mumbai
The zeal in our dreams, makes the universe conspire in our favour. Taste for business and inclination for management came on early in my life. Ambition, no doubt was injected by my mother, who showed me ways higher than my dreams. Being a meritorious student and good with numbers right from beginning of my academia, I seized the opportunity of pursuing my commerce graduation from Delhi University. But entering into Dream College was tough. With God’s grace and my hard work, I secured admission but the major problem was convincing my family to support my decision because they felt unsecured and sending a girl out for the first time away from hometown was not easy for them. But my mom helped me in persuading my dad and grandparents about my passion towards studies and showed them brighter prospects of choosing this decision. Had she not taken such a bold step, I wouldn’t have emerged as a mature and a responsible girl who is ready to face challenges of the world. I was exactly opposite of what I am today: shy, introvert, unconfident and reticent girl. Had she not supported me in this decision, I wouldn’t have been studying in one of the reputed B-schools today. She was there in all those times when everyone else stood against my choices. It was even my determination and zeal to achieve the desired goals that changed my life but I owe all my success to the beautiful lady in my life, my mom who revealed a different aspect of me and made me stronger and more passionate for my career.
