IIM Shillong is one of the top B-schools in India. The proudest moment of my life is when I received the offer letter from IIM Shillong. Initially, I was worried about the location but then I decided to let go of my inhibitions, apprehensions and joined IIM Shillong to explore the place myself and found that its rightly named ‘Campus in Clouds’. The institute also completed 10 years in 2018. I come from Delhi and the air quality is deteriorating to lowest level there so the pleasant weather and pure air are added benefit for me.
Apart from this, institute’s premium flagship course, top ranking, placement records, makes it a perfect destination for MBA aspirants. I will be guided by renowned faculty members which would help me to achieve my career goals. The vast network of alumni will provide me unmatched access to information, mentors and careers. This institute would help me to explore new opportunities by encouraging intellectual curiosity and open my mind to the adventure of new ideas thereby allowing the multidimensional development of my personality.
The 11th batch of PGP i.e. our batch is the most diverse batch in terms of gender diversity, academic background. This will facilitate peer learning to a higher level. Students of IIM Shillong are tagged as The Most Employable MBA Graduates. IIM Shillong provides the highest number of electives. The institute also organises various events to connect with the corporates and business leaders to help students learn from the first hand experiences of the corporate world.
Since inception, IIM Shillong has always given thrust on Sustainability, covering its multiple dimensions. The Annual International Sustainability Conference (SUSCON) of IIM Shillong is the prime vehicle of this Sustainability movement. It offers a global platform for dialogues and deliberations on various aspects of Sustainability from all stakeholders including academicians, business leaders, NGOs, social activists and policy makers. Eminent scholars and experts have shared their valuable insights on various aspects of Sustainability in SUSCON over the years. Sustainable Management is the need of the hour and here we literally start our academic journey with a perfectly designed foundation course on Sustainability which ends with a trek, which is a once in a lifetime experience. At IIM Shillong, we have had Best intern prizes, national competition winners in high numbers. We are family here. You can experience all the seasons in single day here. The pleasant weather and scenic natural beauty brings you close to the mother nature. It’s only 20 days on the campus and I feel like spending rest of my life in Shillong.

I would want to work for Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd. It is India’s premier fashion house. It partnered with Forever 21, one of the best global fast fashion retail brand. Also women’s fast fashion is the fastest growing segment globally and in India. With rising disposable income & shift in consumer preference towards branded apparels, it is projected that the modern apparel retail is expected to reach USD 37 billion in the next five years from about USD 16 billion currently. So, this company will be a perfect launchpad for my career and will provide me with multiple opportunities and challenges along with immense learning that I have always strived for.
