I would like to introduce the “firecracker of the HR batch” at MDI – Aakash Khurana. Just like firecrackers induce life into a party, capture everyone’s attention and provide entertainment to all; Aakash ensures that his energy and his sense of humour lifts up the spirits of those around him.
Aakash is a tall, lanky fellow – much like a sparkler. He is loud and makes himself heard by others – much like a cherry bomb. He emits positivity and energy – much like an anaar bomb. And like an entire show of fireworks, Aakash is the most entertaining part of class on any given day.
I have known Aakash for one year; we were friends before the two of us came to campus. Being at MDI has given me the opportunity to know him more, and know more sides of him. Apart from being the dedicated jester of the class, he is also a brilliant sportsman – in the sense that he displays excellent sportsman spirit. During the inter – class sports competition of our college, Aakash would be there; either playing on the field, or standing at the side-line cheering for his team. During group projects, he is always the first one to take initiative and work towards completion of the task.
Aakash likes his day to be flexible, he isn’t too fond of schedules. Yet, he always gets the work done – be it a creative task such as making a skit or an academic task such as making a project.
These different traits of being the jester yet being a professional, being happy-go-lucky individual yet taking work seriously; all these are what make my friend Aakash interestingly unique.
Which ABG company would you like to work for?
I would like to work for Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited stands with the statement that a person’s dressing sense, his appearance and the first impression he makes; all contribute towards his success.
What the company essentially does, is it enables its customers to brand themselves as per their style and their identity. It gives the customer a sense of empowerment – to represent themselves and represent what they stand for.
In the modern world, looks do matter, as they represent your ideology. As a Sikh, I can personally vouch for this statement – as our distinguishing look with the turban is a big part of our culture – it represents the ideology of the person wearing the turban.
I would like to work at the Fashion and Retail arm of ABG as these are the values and beliefs I stand for as well; and I would like to be an asset to the company in furthering its mission.
