How To Get Into IIM Trichy | Selection Criteria 2019

IIM Trichy (Tiruchirappalli) admission criteria for PGP batch 2020-22 is now live. This time IIM Trichy seems to be giving more weightage to CAT exam scores seem to be the deciding factor if you wish to get into IIM Trichy. Check out the highlights of the IIM Trichy selection criteria 2019.

Highlights of the Admission Criteria for the batch 2020-2022:

This year most weightage will be given to CAT scores (50%). CAT scores triumphs over all the other criteria. Bottom line: Prepare and score well during CAT!
14% weightage has been allocated to each WAT and PI respectively.
In order to become more gender-inclusive, IIM Trichy has allotted 5% points to gender diversity. Only females are for eligible for the gender diversity score.

IIM Trichy Admission Criteria 2019:

The admission follows a two-stage process -

CAT Score:

IIM Trichy will use CAT percentile for shortlisting candidates. In order to get shortlisted for the next round (PI & WAT), candidates will need to score the minimum of the following scores. The table below indicates the minimum performance expected from candidates to be shortlisted for the PI & WAT.

*Please note that achieving the cut-off percentile in CAT is a necessary but not sufficient condition for being shortlisted.

Final Selection:

The final score is computed based on - CAT score, PA and Profile. The detail of the weightage in each parameter is given in table 2.

Please note that Academic profile is based on the percentage of marks that the candidate obtained during his/her 12th standard and graduation. In case, you have a Bachelor's degree in engineering or other background (such as science, humanities and commerce), then you get 0.5% and 1.0% respectively.
