Indian Institute of Management, Udaipur is the first of the new IIMs which moved to its permanent campus spread around 300 acres of land in the outskirts of Udaipur. As it is situated in the midst of the Aravali mountain range, the first impression which it leaves to most of the visitors is the breath-taking experience of the natural beauty. Udaipur city is famous for its royal culture and institute has imbibed the same in constructing the buildings of the academic block, as well as hostels, are reflecting the designs of castles and forts which are a significant part of the Rajasthan history. It is characterized by sharp slopes and deep valleys which enabled to preserve water from natural resources during the monsoon made it a self-dependent institute. It has taken so many measures to preserve the natural beauty, setup and maintaining values to make IIMU an eco-friendly institute.

We IIMU students are really lucky to have director Prof. Janat Shah as he had the vision to place the institute in a renowned position in Global and National rankings. Under his leadership, IIMU has reached 3rd place in research in India as per UT Dallas rankings and ranked 13th in NIRF-2018 among the top 100 management institutes in India by Human Resource Development, Govt. of India. For this, institute management has taken many measures for the academic excellence by employing exceptional faculty who delivers quality education.

IIMU culture has been upheld by its key values Academic Excellence, Integrity, Mutual Respect, Transparency, Inclusion and Ecological sustainability which enforces every member of the community to follow.

To incorporate and promote different skills in the students, the institute has taken many measures like supporting students to explore their aspirations. It promotes industrial interface by providing students with industrial insights, several lectures by industrial pioneers and guest lectures. It believes in global exposure so it also provides student exchange program in collaboration with premier institutes of Germany and France to imbibe invaluable experiences by spending one full trimester in these institutions. It also provides students to work on live projects in other countries. Rural immersion programme introduced by institute made mandatory to all the students to spend at least sometime in rural areas of India to know the shortcomings of rural places in India. It has one of the best alumni who were always there and will be to support the student community of IIMU.

Which ABG company would he/she wants to work for and why?

I would like to work in the Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited as it gives me the scope to deal with several types of customers and their needs of durables in their everyday life and had several brands under it. I like to deploy my skills as well as learn from one of the best brands in the country.
