It has hardly been 15 days that I joined Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar and it feels like an entire new world. To start with, the campus of XIMB is full of greenery. One can see the tall straight Eucalyptus trees queued perfectly on both the sides of the road to the inside of the campus. The glow board of XIMB, shining bright throughout the night and captures everyone’s eyes during the day. Situated in the heart of the city, this institute is the pride of Odisha.
This Green campus of XIMB never fails to amaze me. The architecture is so beautiful and compact as it accommodates more than 600 people. Interior of the building are covered with beautiful trees and bushes which fill the environment with fragrance and scenic beauty. The top view from the academic block is breathtakingly beautiful. And the monsoon weather serves as the icing on the cake.
Despite the typical hectic MBA schedule, people here manage to stay chilled and stress free at the end of the day. They believe in being energetic and enthusiastic round the clock to beat stress. No matter what they face during the day but they never fail to celebrate and enjoy at night. Seniors are the life of this campus and they are main reason why we first years are always so motivated and relaxed. Sports, cultural events, birthday parties are what keep us going and help us overcome tiredness and lethargy. XIMB also hosts the biggest fest of eastern India, Xpressions, which attracts a huge audience from different places.
Coming to the academics, the schedule is made in such a way that we get enough time to take a break between classes and sufficient time for lunch as well. There are canteens that run all day long and library that stays open 21 hours in a day. Such an environment and lifestyle can never be monotonous and hence we, the MBA students of XIMB are always in form and ready to face what comes before us.
ABG Company I would like to work for
Considering my personal interest in Brands and Fashion, I would like to work for Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited (ABFRL). I believe there is huge demand and preference of brands among people due to the hype in their lifestyles and multi brand stores like Pantaloons are perfect places to grab the most lovable brands of all times. Pantaloons is my personal favourite and has never disappointed me. I would like to work towards the further expansion of the outlets and bringing together many more brands and widen the product and design range.
