In this video we take a look at how to handle Group Discussions as a preparation for your job or internship interviewing process. Group Discussions are meant to examine how you work in groups. How you collaborate and how you present your arguments is what is being tested.
It is stupid to be something you actually aren't in a GD. Show up as authentically as you can. If you are the silent type, come in a couple of times and make quick points. If you are the aggressive type, get into the discussion with full gusto but always in control of your thoughts.

Start slow if you don’t know the topic too well. You can pick up points from what people say. Try and take the first lead on topics you know well.
Start with facts, definitions, a relevant story, a dramatic statement that you can justify or simply a question defining the scope of the discussion.
If you get to make closing arguments, don’t introduce new points, don’t only give one side of the argument and don’t give a verdict on which side has won.
