He has also been a visiting faculty at IIM Shillong and IFMR Graduate School of Business. His style of teaching brought out the diverse viewpoints of Strategy throughout the course, which surprisingly bolsters the learning. He pushed us to grow and discuss beyond the literature and persistently forced us to think on our feet. He often said during the class that the purpose of his teaching is to change us to a producer of data/ideas from a consumer of data.
He derives his energy and passion for teaching from his students' enthusiasm and learning spirit, and he learns a lot by his association with students. His excellent teaching style, complemented by the heated class discussion, presentation, and engagement, is excellent for testing student energy levels and patience. In addition, he resonated his profound understanding of the subject with his pupil.
He puts his sincere effort with the highest possible enthusiasm in the classes. I've come to admire him because one- I've understood his hard work and effort just for the growth of his students, and Second- his humorous replies that burst the whole class into laughter.
Faculty Note- We live in challenging yet exciting times. The next few years will be challenging for the world as it figures out how business is conducted in the new reality. At the same time, it is also a period showcasing the resilience of the human spirit and how we constantly adapt to emerge stronger. Technology is playing a major part in this resurgence of the human spirit and is repositioning business management and education.
The School of Management and Entrepreneurship (SME) at IIT Jodhpur was born during this transitional cusp and has found immediate relevance to its vision of technology-focused management education and research. SME’s Tech-MBA is a sought-after program and has generated great interest among students and the industry. SME, as an entrepreneurial venture by itself, is beginning to make a mark for itself among management schools in a short time of just over a year – full winter (social sector) and summer internship placement for its pioneering MBA batch, a doctoral program completing its first year, popular minor programs in management and entrepreneurship as part of IIT Jodhpur’s flagship program, multiple student-driven events, and evolving industry collaboration to name a few. We are now moving successfully into inducting the next batch of MBA and Ph.D. students with international students applying for its doctoral program. Many MBA students have been selected for studying with partner Universities abroad, as part of the dual degree program, to pursue various degree programs in technology and management. The faculty has been publishing in top journals and is involved in IIT Jodhpur’s interdisciplinary research programs. It is truly an exciting time to be part of SME, IIT Jodhpur as a faculty and as a student!
As SME marches ahead with its mission to enable a new generation of managers, entrepreneurs, and leaders with foresight and humanistic values, it seeks able partners across the world, both in academia and in the industry. Being part of the IIT ecosystem, we have a lot to offer and look forward to working together in offering a futuristic experience to all its stakeholders.
Join us in creating future leaders with a focus on a sustainable and technology-driven world!
