FMS is truly the Red Building of Dreams. We may be small in area and number, but this is what binds us all together. Be it the professors, the alumni, the non-teaching staff and obviously the students; all are bonded by a special bond. Add to that the tag of being the oldest B-School in India and also being called the Marketing Campus of India.
But, for all of us at FMS, it is about living the experience, strengthening the originality which is unique to FMS.
The uniqueness of FMS has been best described by one of our alumni. He described Life at FMS as "Going out into the world with minimum damage to the zest for life".

A memorable classroom experience in my B-school: -

Everyday FMS has a surprise in store for us. Be it the Case Studies or the presentations or the peer-to-peer interactions. Every day is a new challenge and every day helps us make some new memories. The most memorable classroom experience for me till now has been attending and participating in these case studies and interactions with my batch mates, despite having been awake the whole previous night in preparation for the case study. This was a first time all nighter for me. And in spite of that, I was able to perform well in these interactions.

Introducing - some of my crazy batch mates: -

  • One of my most interesting batch mates is Aditya Bhale, he is an immensely talented guy. And has a voice that can melt hearts. During a college competition, he single-handedly won his team the competition by using his talents.
  • Another one of my crazy batch mates is Himanshu Rajput. He is mechanical engineering by background but does not have any qualities of a mechanical engineer. He is crazy cricket and Real Madrid fan and is also crazy about being an Investment Banker.
  • Rishi Raj Bishwas, an IT Engineer by profession and an aspiring rapper. He is very passionate about being a professional rapper. He aims to entertain his colleagues after MBA with his rapping skills, and if the response is good then he will be going all pro.

Which ABG company would you want to work for and why?

Idea Cellular is the company under the Aditya Birla Group for which I am aspiring to work for. Being an Electronics and Communication Engineer, Idea Cellular is an obvious choice for me. Working for Idea Cellular, I'll be able to put into work both my B.Tech and MBA knowledge and the acquired skill sets. This would be a better utilization of my abilities and talent. This would be a huge advantage for me too, and also would help me grow both personally and professionally at an increased pace. Also, with the Idea- Vodafone merger, we will become the industry leaders and this will open a huge opportunity for me and also the company.
