The unique thing about my campus is that it big and small at the same time. Being a part of University of Delhi we get access to the enormous campus infrastructure. The sports facility in each of the college is available to the students. Generally, B-schools are residential to reduce the time overhead in travel for the students. But this gives us more exposure. Being in a hostel will make us feel like cocooned by the comforts. The food security and comfort are assured. Living by ourselves we manage to co-ordinate and find means to work together on our cases and competitions. This whole process is initially difficult to cope up with. But this gives us a lot of confidence and a sense of self-reliance which I think is absent in most residential B-schools. The campus also gives us access to the rich faculty from different colleges. With Delhi School of Economics and Institute of Economic Growth right next to our campus there is a lot of resource for our research. When it comes to research we can also afford to pick subjects related to other disciplines. For example, If I am interested in computational finance, I can easily get help from the faculty of Mathematics to help me on advanced forecasting techniques. The culture at FMS is something that cannot be found in any other B-school because we are taught to be responsible from day one. Students are actively involved in many of the administrative activities which is a whole new experience. Apart from all these material differences, our alumni have left behind an incomparable legacy that we will carry forward with us.

2)  A memorable classroom experience in my B-school

The best memorable classroom experience was the prank that was played by our seniors at the end of our inductions. When our inductions were going on we were in such a rigour that we didn’t even think of a possibility of the inductions ending anytime soon. We were informed that someone from our batch had complained about the senior and he was getting dismissed from the program. We were really wondering how it happened. The seniors were fretting over why we did it and how ungrateful this gesture was. They left us in the hall and stormed out. We were feeling really bad for what had happened. And the projector turned on by itself and started a video saying a welcome batch of 2020. That was one of the most elaborate pranks in my college life. They literally took us from sorrow to euphoria in a few seconds. Then I thought we were lucky to have such seniors.

3) Introducing - some of my crazy batch-mates

Nigel Joe – Nigel Joe is someone with the darkest sense of humour. Normal people won't even get his jokes most of the time. He speaks in his own language which really hits us hard.

For coffee, he would say Alertbean juice. For bread, it is wheat flour. It is really fun to hang out with him

Abhijit Salunke – He is the Gordon Ramsay of our apartment. Every night he takes care of dinner. He either cooks or orders online. The awesome part is that he orders with such a precision that we have never wasted food ever. Like literally everyone will be full and no food will be left. It takes great skill to cook with such measurements

Sabah the Savage- We often doubt if he is a human because of his strange sleep cycle and a total lack of attention. Even if we scream on his face he can keep going on with his day dream. He is crazy about FIFA and can play even before a case submission

Adithya Bhale – Adithya bhale is the confusion in every situation. Whenever we are close to a decision he talks against it and again gets us into a dilemma. When I asked him why he just feels happy to see people in confusion. That is like the evilest thing I came across. But apart from that, he is a great singer and a football player

3) Which ABG company would you want to work for and why?

I would like to work for UltraTech cement because as I have a background in civil engineering, I have seen how bad the pollution in cement industry is. Ultratech cement has a lesser carbon footprint compared to it’s peers like Ramco cement etc. Also given the fact that India Infrastructure industry is set for a new phase of growth it would be helpful in progressing my career along with it
