Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar has certainly made its mark in excellence for being in the top elite colleges in the country. It’s been two weeks since I have joined college and I already have been baffled by the quality and quantity of the curriculum. What intrigued me more was that most of it was carried out by the students, i.e. our seniors. The amount of time and energy they put in polishing us like grains out of hay is phenomenal, which already reflects their holistic, practical and personal development in managing, taking responsibility, leadership and many more. Another thing not to miss out is our faculty pool with qualifications from elite colleges around the globe. The plethora of working in group assignments and getting to work with people from diverse backgrounds is pretty amazing. It made me have a broader spectrum of various things in life after knowing about the challenges faced by each one of them hailing from different backgrounds. Not to forget the green and clean, eco-friendly campus loaded with trees that is a puff of fresh air whenever we walk around on the campus or take something that we call X-Walk here. Yes, interestingly everything starting from quizzes to societies to walks come along with exemplification of every word with “X” like X-FIN, XWALK, XFRIENDS, etc. XIMB is known to have a culture which promotes holistic development in the truest sense of the word, and now I can see why. It’s been two weeks, and I am already used to sleeping for few hours because the aura of completion and race among everyone keeps me up. Every morning I wake up more focused. It is known to have a legacy which promotes sports and culture alongside academics. Apart from all this XIMB also has something called JLTs which is the fun side of it, which is social gatherings and celebrations which is a break from all these day to day competitions, buzz and racing curriculum. Xpressions, XIMB is known to be the biggest fest of eastern India with a footfall of more than 20,000 people from all over the country. It has everything to offer from top celebrities of the country to showcase of extreme talent from contestants which overall builds its charm in itself. Last but of course not the least, I was overwhelmed with something called the Social Responsibility committee here that takes care of education and needs of the unprivileged workers, ”Mess Bhainas” (who manage to get a smile on our faces by adding a piece of extra sweet during lunch), their children.
Which Aditya Birla company I would like to join?
I would love to join Aditya Birla Capital due to my keen inclination towards the field of finance, volume, market capitalisation. Stating to all my interest Aditya Birla Capital would definitely be a dream company to work for.
