Practical Exposure and Industry Interface Project
What truly sets the PGP-HRM program apart is its commitment to practical exposure and industry interface. Apart from the summer internship in April-May, in the fourth term, we undertake an Industry Interface Project, where we collaborate with various industries for a month-long live project.
This hands-on experience provides us with invaluable insights, helping us bridge the gap between theory and practice. The guidance of both an industry mentor and a faculty mentor ensures that we make meaningful contributions to the organizations we work with, further enriching our learning journey.
Moreover, the PGP-HRM program offers a unique and enriching course called Rural Engagement Program (REP). Taking place in the II term, this transformative experience assigns students to live in various villages in Madhya Pradesh for a week. During this time, we immerse ourselves in the lives of the locals, interact with them, and understand their challenges and aspirations. The REP goes beyond academic learning; it instills in us a deep sense of empathy and responsibility towards society. This experience encourages us to create a positive impact on the communities we engage with, aligning us with IIM Indore's vision of creating responsible leaders.
HOGAN Certification: Developing Strategic Self-Awareness
As future HR leaders, understanding ourselves and our strengths is crucial for effective leadership. In the fourth term, the PGP-HRM students undergo a three-day HOGAN Certification workshop. The HOGAN assessments provide insights into our work style traits, core values, and potential derailment risks that may impact our behavior. This certification equips us with the expertise to interpret the Hogan personality profiles, empowering us to manage our behavior effectively and enhance our workplace success. It reinforces the importance of strategic self-awareness in HR management and helps us navigate organizational challenges with a clear understanding of our strengths and areas of improvement.
