Here I am going to talk about a few people (freaks) who portray the extremities in my character. I’m a pretty average b-school student, with a few perks which really shine out when I’m around them.
NB: They are not mentioned as per importance or ranked according to their looks.
Sauradeep Das (A very common Bengali name, but a very uncommon bong)
A kind of spontaneous energy that is never seen in Bengalis, he’s an absolute nuisance of a person but has a heart of gold. To call him creative would be an understatement. He makes one of the best video and image advertisements that I have seen, picks up little details in the most unexpected of places, but still manages to screw up his life on a daily basis.
Oh, did I mention he is a great photographer as well?
Saoumyabrat Tiwari (the smoothest talker in the campus)
Aptly called ‘Choco Boy’, his smooth talking and intelligence will make anyone melt. So much so that, he got his internship in the first company that came to our campus.
Well it has been almost 10 years now that I have known him, and like fine wine, he has only got better with age. He has been a good friend and guide, and never ceases to make anyone laugh with his witty comments.
And his smooth talking is not limited to just interviews or colleagues. He scribes up pretty poems as well. You can imagine then, how well his tinder dates go!
Sourav Guha Barman (This picture looks like a very young Anjan Dutta, maybe he is!)
This here is a very wild guy. He’s 28 years old but is 18 at heart. He’ll never say no to a trip, no matter how odd the timings are or how difficult the trip is. He has done multiple treks in the toughest of terrains. And with all these activities, he manages to score well in academics too. With this all-rounder image he has in XIMB, it’s hard to imagine that he used to have a band ‘AIMplifiers’ of his own as well, with him being the bass guitarist.
Astha Gaur (or ‘minion Gaur’ as we know her)
I often wonder where this 5-foot tall powerhouse sources her energy from. Tired is not a word in her dictionary. She brings an element of fun and quirkiness to every task that she does. A talented speaker, dancer, writer and singer she is extremely perceptive of the people around her and their emotions. She doles out wise advice like it ain’t nothing but gets anxious every time someone talks about marriage. She’s got an infectious smile and always seems to be high on life.
Which ABG company would you want to work for and why?
It would be Ultratech Cement. Previously known as ‘L&T Cement’, the company has only improved itself with time. It’s a symbol of trust and durability. That feeling of trust and dependability is fundamental in my character. At the same time, this company believes in change, introducing energy efficient manufacturing and cement products that are over two times water positive. I want to be a part of this change, to not just the company only but society in general.
