- CAT 2023 Success Story: Can you walk us through your preparation strategy?
CAT is an exam that tests your patience and consistency. I knew after my poor CAT 2022 that this exam demands the candidate to be consistent for the entire journey. I followed this for the next year. It was a challenge to manage things that work but sacrifice a few hours of sleep every day to meet the targets. I gave at least 1 mock every week with proper analysis and focused on improving my weak areas
- In your opinion, what is the most important aspect of preparation?
Consistency. If this is missing then a major chunk of the preparation goes in vain.

- Which section was your Achilles heel? How did you overcome that?
DILR. My score in DILR in CAT 2022 was negative; in CAT 2023, it was 98.82%ile. I focused on solving a variety of sets and tried to approach the best possible solution for them. This was later helpful in deciding the doable set in the mocks and exam to maintain speed and accuracy.
- What was your lowest point in your preparation journey?
A few days before the final exam, I was solving the CAT 2022 mock and scored the same marks in VARC and DILR as in the actual paper. I felt like wasting one year on this and ending up in the same place a year ago. Nonetheless, things changed in the final paper and my score was better than this.
- What changes did you make in your preparation during the second attempt?
Proper strategy is a must. I didn't have a strategy for preparation or planning to attempt the exam in a specific way. This small change made a big impact on my score.

MDI Gurgaon interview process had GDPI. The GD was good, I was able to give 4 entries in the given 10 minutes and was happy with my performance. My PI was mostly around my past acads and work experience, which I successfully answered.
