The film shows Brosnan in the role of a Bollywood Bond, attacking crusaders a bit like Don Quixote, swishing his box of Pan Bahar like a sword. While a female Sancho Panza coyly looks on with admiration. The film ends with him taking the position of the Bollywood SPECTRE leader and dislodging him from his chair in a quick motion while his opponents bite the dust. A stunt that Bruce Lee would have found difficult to emulate. Brosnan ends it with 'Class never goes out of style'. Strange tagline for a product that is banned in many Indian states.
In this competitive world, organisations are putting in best efforts to understand business and implement vital decisions that will drive their business forward. The question to ponder over is - How reliable any decision is? Is it a foolproof decision? Will the decision improve the status of the organisation? When I was pursuing my Masters in Industrial Psychology, we had a guest lecture on ‘Lessons in Applied Psychology by Sun Tzu and Chanakya’. Somehow the lessons by Sun Tzu have stuck by. And it’s not only in the field of psychology that the principles of Sun Tzu can be incorporated but also in the area of business and service industry. What makes Sun Tzu’s principles so adaptable in all walks of life is the fact that it’s not the war literally that he is talking about but the conflict which we see in every aspect of our life. He addresses the art of conflict resolution, be it a war or the competitive business scenario.
A quarter percentage point cut in the Reserve Bank of India (RBI)’s policy rate was not unexpected (although the market was vertically divided, a few, including me, were expecting a rate cut) but it’s not obvious why the central bank has decided to bring down its policy rate to 6.25%, a six-year low. It’s also very likely that this will be the last rate cut for this fiscal year.

Indeed, there’s been a technical advisory committee (TAC) since June 2009 to give inputs for policy-making but, unlike the six-member monetary policy committee (MPC), it did not have statutory status and hence the governor was under no obligation to accept its suggestions. On most occasions in the past seven years, the RBI has not done what most members of TAC have wanted it to do.
