One of the most rewarding and indescribable feelings in the world is experiencing that moment when you find out about a college acceptance. That too in the first list of converts. Being a high Commerce Graduate(B.Com) nowadays isn’t easy, it takes a lot of blood, sweat, and tears (metaphorically, I hope). And during that period of waiting to hear of a decision, you continually question and re-evaluate if all you’ve done in the past 3 years was enough. Whether you find out about the decision from a letter in the mail or by clicking on a link, I think we all can agree it’s pretty much one of the happiest moments to experience. In my case, it was on the 22nd of May, 2018, I received the final conversion through email.

IIM Raipur: The All-In-One Campus

For every person, college days are one of the best days of their life. Although I had experienced ‘college days’ during my engineering life still I had a lot more expectations from my MBA course. So CAT 2018 happened and I was interviewed for CAP. Even though I had converted 4 out of 6 new IIMs but I choose IIM Raipur. One of the major reason was IIM Raipur’s ‘ Student Exchange Program’ which is said to be one of the best among IIMs, also IIM Raipur was steadily climbing up the ladder to improve its placement scenario and most importantly it was being allotted a very modern and sophisticated campus in Naya Raipur. So because of the above-mentioned reasons I choose IIM Raipur. But once I came here I got to know what the best thing about this college is – It’s the all-in-one campus.

MDI Gurgaon – Through The Red Brick Walls

MDI is a lush paradise with wide boulevards and scenic greenery though it stands between the congested lanes and concrete and glass towers of Gurgaon which makes its beauty stand out even more so. I arrived here to gain more than just education and opportunities. I also want to gain experiences and connections that will last a lifetime. And this memorable incident narrates one such interesting experience that will always bring a smile on my face. So it happened after a few days after I entered MDI. Our college has a laundry service which offers door to door collection and delivery, which is a boon for the students. I was waiting for my clothes to be picked up after I had informed the laundry shop owner on the campus over the phone. Waiting for someone to arrive, I went outside my room for a little bit. I saw a guy was carrying laundry in a bag and walking out of the hostel. I mistook him for the laundry delivery guy and called out to him asking why he didn't show up at my room to collect laundry. He turned around and looked back at me with an angered look on his face and that made it pretty clear to me that it was someone else. It became pretty clear that he was a fellow student as well and several people around us laughed at me and I apologized to him. He turned out to be a class fellow and we together laughed at that incident and we became really good friends.

My First Day At My New College, MDI

I just can’t forget my first day in the college. It was a very different experience, which was mainly because I got admission from the open counselling. Therefore, I actually joined two weeks late. So, when I entered the college, I experienced a different vibe altogether. There were birds chirping and students rushing for the classes but it still it felt different from my graduation college for some reason. I too just placed my luggage in my allotted room and rushed to the class.
