This year’s edition of Communiqué – XIMB (The Annual Media and PR conclave of XIMB) was centered around the following theme- “Changing Paradigms of Media Landscape in Digital Age”
My colloquy with MBA started very early. I was fascinated by how businesses work and how they form the backbone of any economy. This fascination and curiosity pulled me to the doorstep of IIM Rohtak. Jittery, palpitation and exhilaration describes the way I felt the first time I stepped into the sprawling 200 acre campus of Indian Institute of Management, Rohtak.
IIM Udaipur and IIM Kashipur are two of the "New IIMs" or "Next Gen IIMs" of the country. Established in 2011, the IIMs are the 12th and 13th IIMs to become functional in the country, respectively.
Just when you thought your life was now sorted, here came ‘The XUB Life’. So, in our minds, sailing to a top business school meant we were hotshot. Then came the first step, when the bullets really began to fly.
Harsh Sinha had to make a tough choice between taking care of his ailing mother and joining his dream B-School. Life is not always fair and is full of challenges. This IIM Lucknow management student has gone through a lot of them in life and is keep pushing the boundaries every passing day. Find out his story against all odds and how he went Big and Bold!
With a view to help managers of tomorrow calibrate their learnings from class with decades worth of real-life industry experience, IIM Shillong will be hosting its first ever Business Leadership Summit from the 14th to 16th of September. IIM Shillong, the youngest of the old and oldest of the new IIMs, will host industry veterans from a number of fields to ensure that students get a comprehensive view of how the evolving world of today impacts each aspect of a business. Aptly themed ‘Refine, Define & Design Business in New India’, the conclave aims to use a strong industry-academia interaction to pave the way for the future of our nation using the best of forward-looking innovation backed by the strongest of business lessons learned so far.
“Thithi Thara thithi thai thithai thaka thei thei thom", the Kerala boat race chants that chorused through the auditorium from a crowd of 300, dressed in ethnic Kerala saree and mundu; the thrill that I experienced while facing them was the best amongst the Onam celebrations I had all these years.
Nearly a decade after MBA, I can still connect very much to the learning and experiences at SIBM-B in several aspects of my profession. I was one of the few students who opted out of placements in college. I became an entrepreneur instead. I co-founded a Creatives agency and bootstrapped it from scratch to a healthy level in a span of 5 years.
