Not long ago did I feel stupid about people saying the two years at a B-school would be the most memorable part of your life. For me, it was always the four years of graduation that I spent in Chennai at SRM University pursuing my B.Tech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering. Now, Something changed it in these 12 months of ‘MBA life.’
It has been a year now at IIM Udaipur, and life could not have been better than this. I always knew that I would be going for an MBA after doing my bachelors in business studies. The question was whether it is the right time to do it soon after my graduation and from where should I do my MBA? The latter question seemed to yield an easy answer to choose IIM Udaipur. Just for one reason at that time- Institute’s focus on academic rigor. The first was yet to be figured out even after joining the institute.
Education is all about gaining knowledge and its application. This knowledge not only consists of concepts and constructs but some practical truths of life which are highlighted through unique personal experiences. The IIM U community has several core values which it takes very seriously. Mutual respect and Inclusion are two of these unwavering pillars.
Indian Institute of Management, Udaipur a dream which comes true for me to pursue my Alma matter from college which stands on the foundation of an academic and research institute with world-class faculty as well world-class facilities at the campus.
IIMU has students from almost all the walks of life from CAs and CFAs to Engineers to Doctors to Lawyers and Chefs. Apart from increasing the diversity, it adds a lot of perspective to both in the classroom and out of the classroom discussions. It adds to the overall experience one has in the MBA program. After relocating to its permanent campus in October 2016, IIM Udaipur has grown leaps and bound. Being the first of the new IIMs to move to its permanent campus is in itself is achievement. The surrounding beauty of Aravalli range makes the location of campus unique.

Since IIM Udaipur is under construction but the classrooms, hostels, mess, library, Wi-Fi and all other essential functions are all fully operational.
