“Some moments in life are temporary, but the memory of them is permanent. These are those moments that will remain most cherished, loved and will grow an ardent desire to relive them again” - These thoughts ran through the minds of everyone in IIM Shillong as it came together to bid adieu to the future leaders as its batch of 2015 gets ready to step out of its misty walls and into the professional realm.
Barely a fortnight after graduating, it's both difficult and tempting to look back and try and sum up the two years. While life after Post Graduation may have many crossroads and opportunities, the two years, though not perfect, have added many different sides to each character. Growing, learning, changing, each day was as variable and fickle as the Shillong weather.
The first few months of an MBA life can be extremely daunting. For many, the MBA is a comeback to student life. For others, it is just the next step in their student life. Either way, there is a certain degree of excitement related to starting an MBA. There is a fresh energy in the incoming students, and it is very important to utilise that energy in the right direction.
Life at IIM Bangalore is an experience and that experience can only be admired...
IIM Sirmaur - Where Gender Doesn't Define You
MBA, as a degree, comes with a lot of baggage. The exhaustive nature of the course notwithstanding, there is a lot of prep work which needs to be done before setting foot in the B-school. While a lot many of us land up with our undergraduate degrees by default (given the compulsive nature of our education system), the choice of a post graduate degree is mostly voluntary, done after taking into account a lot of factors.
Spirits were high and so were the emotions on 3rd March 2017. Never could have a vacation been as welcoming as the one that laid ahead of us. While getting away from the magnificent IIMU campus and it’s energetic world for a while was not something desirable, the blissful feeling of not having to wake up at 8 AM to the sounds of an angry and monstrous alarm clock, to rush to the mess and finish our breakfast within 5 minutes, to make a run for the classroom from the hostel premises to the academic block just to make it in time and to sit in the classroom with bleary eyes, making every effort to stay attentive was more than enough to take that step out of the campus premises for a while! A flashback on the last two months would certainly reveal a lot about the life of a PGPX student at IIM Udaipur.
The Institute for Financial Management & Research (IFMR) held their convocation-2017 at their Sri City campus today. Dr. C. Rangarajan, Former Chairman, Economic Advisory Council to Prime Minister and Former Governor of RBI and Chairman of MSE was the Chief Guest and delivered the convocation address.
