Mr. Rajeev Jaiswal, Technical Director at KPMG, took time off to share his learnings and insights with the students of Vinod Gupta School of Management, IIT Kharagpur. Mr. Jaiswal began his discourse by asking us what it is that makes us proud of being a part of IIT Kharagpur. Upon hearing the students cite the institute’s rich culture, diversity and inter-departmental learnings in response, he went on to encourage us to work hard and contribute by adding value to the lives of one another, the institute and the country. Speaking from his life’s experiences, he said every task is like solving a problem with many alternatives. It is up to us to make the choices that are meaningful.
Indian Institute of Management Kashipur organized the inter-sectional wars of PGP 2016-2018 batch students on 29th of October, 2016. XLRI – Xavier School of Management is all set to host Ensemble 2016, the annual management fest, with the theme ‘Be the Business’.
The festival of lights brings with it a familiar warmth, merriment and a sense of contentment to most Indians around the world. Diwali at IIM Ranchi was no different. The weekend saw the staff and students enjoy the occasion with an array of festivities organised by the Cultural Committee.
Everything about a business school is artificial. We like to portray ourselves as liberal people with progressive thoughts as we are supposed to be the so-called “cream of the nation”. But we don’t let go of our judgmental attitude and hypocrisy that we use to fool ourselves every day. We are worse than those middle aged aunties when it comes to gossips, we literally go gaga even if a guy merely hangs out with a girl.
IIM Trichy concluded its three-day management-cum-cultural festival Dhruva '16 on 23 October, 2016. The institute, which previously hosted the management and cultural festivals separately, for the first time organised a festival at such a big scale. The festival saw a participation from over 2000 students belonging to over 250 institutes from across the country. In addition, international teams from Sri Lanka and Iran participated in the event.
Hey there!!! Like every stereotypical post here on this site, I am going to tell you a very similar story which will give you a starlight picture of my college and I will praise my college campus, academics, culture, people, and internships and even tell you it is unique. Haven't you heard this before? Isn't it the clichéd article you have always read here? But here I am, going to tell you a story in this format. If any of you have read Basic Mathematics, you must have gone through this one chapter - Numbers. Here, we assume that N is an irrational number and then go through several steps in which there is a numerator and a denominator and in the end we prove that 'N' is in fact, a rational number. Confused? So was I when I joined Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai (Hyderabad Campus). I was skeptical and I wasn't sure if I made the right decision. Did I make the right decision? Maybe, maybe not. Only time will tell.
