From monopoly in classes to design thinking with clay models and Legos, the milieu and style of education in SPJIMR is unmatched and unparalleled. Every year we celebrate Teachers’ Day with the greatest enthusiasm and this year was no different.
Institute of Management Technology, Hyderabad witnessed the live music performance of Sufi Qawwali by the legendary “Warsi Brothers” on 27th September 2016. Along with Spic-Macay the musical extravaganza was organised by “Antragna- the Cultural Club” of IMT, Hyderabad.
Introducing the first of its kind, the Department of Management Studies, IIT Delhi organized Faculty Fun Games - F2G’16 - on 2nd October to ingrain a sportive vigor in our faculty members and proffer them with a venue to relive their glorious youthful heydays. The buzz of anticipation for the turn out of our venerate and esteemed IITian professors for such an event was tremendous. Our impressive faculty members, like always, startled the audience by showing up in huge numbers with a sportsmanship temper and an exuding winning streak.
“Class participation component”, is an essential tool used by B-Schools to encourage classroom discussions and evaluate the performance of the students during every class. A few days into the course and it transforms into something which incentivizes those who come prepared for the class and penalizes those who don’t. It may also become one of the myriad of things which students start fiercely competing for at B-Schools.
Life at IIM Lucknow is a constant race. A race against one’s peers, against time and with self. One lands up amidst the best brains of the country and he/she might as well kiss tardiness a sweet goodbye. No one comes to this place to laze around; everyone comes with a dream. But among so many people, there are always some people, who find survival more difficult. Who find fitting in more difficult. Such was the case of Rajiv, a 1st year student of the PGP programme.
If I had to describe it in one word, my journey as Mercur-I secretary has been revealing. But fortunately I don't have to sum up this fantastic journey yet. It's a name that precedes its presence. Being one of the biggest brands ever created in IIM Indore, Mercur-I is becoming larger and better, a true representation of the institute. Beginning in '03, this club has grown on to become every budding marketer's destination at Planet I.
