After getting two professional degrees prefixed to your name and working in an MNC with a secured job, the last thing you will think about is aspiring of MBA. After a long tiring day at work, looking at the CAT study materials needed much effort and it made me question myself if the efforts were really worth it. These efforts landed me into this prestigious B-School of India. Like every other MBA aspirant, my first aim was IIMs and I guess that was natural. But as the saying goes “Every Man has his Own Destiny” and SPJIMR was mine.
Now comes the time to prioritize, prioritize, prioritize!
Sept 6, 2016 (0800 hrs) : Take a quick shower- Check. Dress up fast- Check. Skim through the pre-reads for the morning lectures- Check. Grab a quick bite while bolting off from the hostel to the academic block- Check.

Around 15 months back, I breathed a sigh of relief when a congratulatory email from IIM Rohtak popped up in my inbox. The dream of studying in an IIM had finally come true. Now was the time to live the life I had yearned for, the life which would transform me. I had heard that one gets amazing opportunities to network with batch mates, seniors, and the alumni. A multitude of opportunities to interact and collaborate with people in various teams for group projects, committees etc knock one’s door. Moreover, partying in large groups at the finest pubs of the city is frequent at the B-School. Exciting, isn’t it? Who would want to miss living a life such as this one?
We intend to make the management theory learning process entertaining and easy to remember, therefore we have made up a story assuming that all management gurus are available at the same point in time.
Dr. Arunachalam Muruganantham, social entrepreneur, innovator and the leader who brought to the public eye the issues related to unhygienic practices around menstruation in rural India was at the SPJIMR campus on Friday (Sep.16) as part of Heroes speak 2016.
