Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Bengaluru is delighted to host the Annual Alumni Meet, Samaagam 2016 this Saturday, the 10th of September. The theme of this year’s event is “Rewind, Relive”, which promises our alumni a journey to the good old days and a dive into a fleeting sense of recollection.
Education through experience is truly today’s guru mantra! And here, at Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune (SIBM Pune), we have it imbibed in us. The students of the institute have been taking up internships since time immemorial! The internship lasts approximately two months and this gives the students hands-on industry experience translating classroom learning into practice.
On 22 August 2016, SPJIMR announced that it has expanded corporate partnerships for its Autumns Placements process with 29 new companies coming on board for campus placements this year. SPJIMR said that 35 per cent of the offers for the 2016 season were made by these new companies, signifying a never-before increase and diversification in the portfolio of recruiters.
The first hint that our seniors, particularly the Alumni and International Relations Committee of IIM Ranchi, gave us about the grand get-together for the batch of 2016-18, was through a mail whose subject line was “TOP SECRET, CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION”. There was also a pre-requisite mentioned in the mail: - to look HOT and SMOKING. This was enough to raise the excitement levels in our hearts to the levels of sky and sustain it throughout the week. I am not so sure about the guys but almost every girl that I met during the entire week spoke about what to wear and what not to wear. The discussions on the colour, type, fabric of the dress, the accessories to be worn seemed to go on for eternity. One thing that I knew for sure, which applied well to both the genders was that the event was yet another great opportunity for people who were 'Single and ready to Mingle'. A wonderful opportunity to see your crush in a dashing attire and be crushed all over again.
The second day of AGON, the management fest of IIM Ranchi brought with it many exciting events. The day started off with Cricket Mandi - a one-of-its-kind IPL style bidding competition by Conundrum- the Consulting Club of IIM Ranchi. In this event, the participating teams had to use their knowledge of cricket to strategically bid on the players, in order to select the best 11 players within a limited budget. It turned out to be a nerve-wracking and entertaining competition with very innovative strategies used by the teams in selecting their best teams. The event saw participants from IIM Ranchi, IIM Amritsar, IMI Delhi and VGSOM and teams from IMI Delhi and IIM Ranchi were the champions.
It was a day of celebration as students of the Indian Institute of Management, Ranchi expressed their love and gratitude for the faculty of the institution on 5th September, 2016. The event to mark the celebrations was organized at State Museum, Khelgaon. The birth anniversary of Dr. S. Radhakrishnan was commemorated with full fervour at IIM Ranchi. The auditorium was packed with enthusiastic students who left no stone unturned to make the event as engaging and entertaining as possible
