The glimpse of the monumental masterpiece is an eternal bliss in itself. Generations have been nurtured and provided wings to fly high. Wings that are crafted in the red rigour and branded for life. The red bricks are a different story altogether, with a past of grandeur and a future of hope. Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow is thriving in its 32nd phase of morphosis with every passing day. The institute takes pride in being the most rigorous management programme in the country and so do its red bricks. Moulded in perfection, they are the perennial witness of unending zeal and limitless load embedded in the entire 20 months of curriculum.
It all started out a year ago with the preparations for CAT. Hundreds of sleepless nights, innumerable cups of coffee, hours of research into colleges, several painful interview processes finally got me into a college whose name starts with “IIM” – the dream of millions.
The months of July-August in India witness the Monsoon in all its glory. There is greenery and freshness all around, life springs from every crack and crevice, flora and fauna thrives.

SCMHRD, one of the top B-schools in the country, houses not only the crème de la crème of the minds across the world, but also the most talented minds. Few of these talented minds came together 8 years back and decided to help solve a world problem of grave concern, seen yet unseen by many. The problem is that of trafficking of humans. They named themselves S.H.A.P.A.T.H., which means to take a pledge, and they did exactly that, they took a pledge to act. Act for Awareness, Prevention and Action against trafficking of humans. This initiative of theirs led them to associate with an NGO, Saheli, which helps nurture abandoned kids of trafficked women and a few others.
Around 596 students from 25 countries participated in a rhapsody of 14 different cultural and sports events at Utopia 2016, the International Cultural Fest of Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM) Bengaluru, held on 31st July, 2016. The students were predominantly from countries like Nigeria, Afghanistan, Nepal, Mauritius, Congo, etc.
Godrej LOUD’s 5th edition started off with a loud bang at the Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneshwar on Thursday, 4th of August. The launch of Godrej LOUD was an informative, yet a fun filled affair with Mr. Parmesh Shahani, Head of Godrej India Culture Lab, Mr. Sumit Mitra, Group HR and Corporate Services, Godrej Industries and the students.
