How Aditya Birla Group is big in our life The ad jingle : “what an idea, sirji” was quite famous from the yesteryear, and for all the good reasons. It usually had the most intelligent ads addressing social issues, which were in the minds of the public and tended a positive image of the entire business house, Aditya Birla Group. Currently idea has seen a merger with Vodafone, becoming the largest telecom carrier in India. Holding the lead in a country of 1.3 billion, is no mean feat. Moving on to other terrains, how Aditya Birla stays close to our hearts, is India’s most loved brick and mortar shopping destination: Pantaloons. Common man has found shopping in Pantaloons, as not only enriching but also elevating. Here we can find a lot of inhouse brands like Peter England, Van Heusen, Louis Phillipe, Allen Solly. Half of the just stated brands would seem like a premium foreign brand to the uninitiated, not because how they are named but because of the unwavering quality and variety. These features of attention to quality, is persistent in every product that they make. Similar has happened in the constructions as well. Birla white putty, probably the first of its kind in Indian market is synonymous with the construction and home décor industry. And having made an attempt to recollect all the major points of contact with Aditya Birla Group products and brands I have come across, it would be unwise to miss out a reference to FreshWrap aluminium foils, which is used to pack and keep the home food warm over the long journeys or till office breaks. The foil does just enough to keep the love from home, preserved inside the rolls of aluminium.

Pondering upon the thought that how much Aditya Birla Group touches our life, an endless list of images started floating in front of my eyes, but I thought to throw light on that area where people usually don’t notice the presence and importance of ABG product. From cars and bikes to computers, plumbing to agriculture and banknotes to shoes, ABG makes our lives better. One must be thinking what I am talking about? But yes, anything you see around black, has a bit of CARBON BLACK in it. Yes, I am mentioning about Birla Carbon -world’s leading sustainable manufacturer and supplier of carbon black additives. It enables us to use resources more efficiently, to travel safely, to communicate and to access clean water for drinking and irrigation. Our car has more than 5000 parts containing Carbon Black in some form or other so is the case with power cables, inks for printer, power cables, pipes, frames, shoes and the list goes on! What makes Birla Carbon so special? Its their vision to be the most respected, dynamic and sustainable global carbon black business keeping customer’s needs & expectation at the core of every action. In this highly competitive world, Birla carbon giving such importance to sustainability, which inspires their employees as well as communities. What amazes me personally is the fact of manufacturing carbon black and having such a high level of sustainable operational excellence which makes Birla Carbon environmentally conscious supplier with concentrated effort on sustaining and improving the environment through optimization of resources and reduction of emissions and maximizing the energy generated by manufacturing process – i.e., using the waste tail gas for power generation.

What is the most beautiful thing about childhood? Cuddling with mom on a cold winter night? Or maybe going out for a game of football with dad on a summer afternoon? We all have beautiful childhood memories that we wish to live over and over again. I am thankful that one thing from my childhood has remained constant i.e., shopping with my mom.  Pantaloons has been in Kolkata since I was 2 years of age. I remember how my mom used to take me to the store and how we used to spend hours shopping; trying out new clothes and making preparations for occasions. Whether it’s about attending a marriage ceremony, purchasing gifts for my brothers on Rakshabandhan or planning to buy a dress for my birthday- Pantaloons has always been a one-stop solution for all. I relive my childhood whenever I go shopping in Pantaloons with my mom. Even when I go along with my friends, there’s always a feeling of nostalgia. This feeling is nowhere close to what I feel even when I go to the most premium brands to shop. I can proudly say that Aditya Birla Group has created the most beautiful and ever-lasting impact in my life. It is irreplaceable and invaluable. Not all conglomerates have the capability to touch your life in a way that Aditya Birla Group does. They know what you want and they will leave no stone unturned in bringing that to you in the most affordable and accessible way.

In the summer of 2015 while I was graduating as an engineer, I remember being nervous about the college placements to come. To write a solid resume, prepare for the interview and buy a proper attire to give my best shot at the selections were things I had listed to set myself on a journey into the corporate world. While I was sure how to go about writing a resume and studying, I had walked up to my dad to help me with wearing a formal attire for the first time. For the first time I didn’t know what to buy and wear and on the other hand my dad knew where exactly to take me. walking into a store named “Louis Philippe”, I could see a range of formal clothing that caught my attention. While I thought I had been brought into an expensive store by a proud and supportive father to buy his son the best clothing for his big day, the bill after the shopping only proved me wrong. Never the less I was very happy with the pair of white shirt and black trouser I walked out of the store with and eventually landed a job. Later when I pondered about what must have worked for me on the big day, was it the resume? was it my answers? or was it the pair of shirt and trousers that made me look fit for the man hiring me. That is when I wanted to know more about “louis Philippe” and was only surprised to know that it was Aditya Birla Group behind it, An Indian multinational conglomerate which had earlier taught me to “walk and talk” through its Idea cellular commercial which had contributed in some way and had a massive presence in my life.Since then I’ve been looking up to all subsidiaries of Aditya Birla Group and only found it to be resolving challenges in the daily lives of people.
