Life Guard: Aditya Birla Life Insurance

Life Guard: Aditya Birla Life Insurance

Aditya Birla Sun Life Insurance Company Limited offers a wide variety of insurance plans to the customers. These life insurance plans cater to all the basic needs and necessities of the customers at a very competitive rate of interest. They take care of all the basic necessities of the customers by ensuring them against all sorts of risks through a wide variety of plans to choose from. I had taken Life insurance from Birla sun life insurance. It has good benefits with accidental coverage and critical illness coverage with a normal premium amount. The policy coverage is 60 years with a tenure period of 20 years. I pay the payment annually through online banking through NEFT. It had been a cheaper and better premium and I had been making the payments of the premium online and it had been easy. Their customer support also had been good where they had been helpful at times. There have not been any hassles faced so far. Also, they give the good sum assured amount with this policy. There is no rate of interest charges when doing the late payment. The agent was good, they have explained to me clearly about the policy benefit, and their coverage and the premium amount they have charged me was nominal, it was on a yearly basis. I am also happy with the coverage and returns of this policy. The premium amount is affordable by comparing to other premiums. They have claim Settlement Ratio of 97.23%(Data according to the IRDA Annual Report (2017-18)).

ABG in my Life

ABG in my Life

The first income in one’s life is very special. It doesn’t matter how much the amount actually is! It gives a sensation that you are now a full-fledged adult. You are no longer a child who depends on his parents for his needs. It gives confidence and a sense of responsibility that it is up to you now to give back to your family. In my case, it was an awesome experience as I had mixed emotions of relief and pride. Yes, it took broke many barricades of my life.

It was 7th january 2019 CAT result was already out the wave of joy was all around me. Congratulations messages were all around my Whatsapp and phone calls. But deep inside me I was knowing that job is still remain unfinished. The dream of getting inside a big B school is still far from reality. Of course my yearlong toil has resulted into a fruitful tree but still it has to be harvested at the right time. So next big hurdle was rigorous interview process through which every MBA aspirant has to go. And with my experience I was knowing that it was first 60 to 90 seconds where you have to make a mark in the interviewer’s mind in any interview after that panel just tries to justify their perception. So just like any other aspirant I was out to buy new corporate formals for myself which can bring the best out of me. I ended up at a Peter England showroom in Acropolis mall of Kolkata (where I was working at that time), and bought one of the finest suit, nicely fitted and having one of the finest fabric. The day of interviews came and what I found interesting is that most of the candidates weren’t feeling comfortable in suits and of course it is adding extra pressure and frustrations to them, I on the other hand was very much comfortable in my attire. I was confident and everything went smoothly for me. Results came and I was there in many of the final list of top B school selected candidates.

School days - one of those cherished times which I reminisce now and then. The first thing that strikes my mind when I think of school is lunch breaks - the hustle and bustle, the scraping of chairs, as me and my friends forming groups to relax and enjoy our lunch. Years later, I still can’t stop myself from drooling when I remember the sheer variety of food we used to have among us, fresh and hot, thanks to the silvery Freshwrapp aluminium foils. I admit I didn’t think much of a foil, which to me was simply a shiny substance which was used to wrap my lunch, but what I had not realized that was that this was my first accidental encounter which a conglomerate which had touched millions of lives. The second thing I remember about my childhood was shopping. My weekends were usually spent in the malls, wandering aimlessly from one shop to another. I can still recollect the vivid images of the clothes display on mannequins outside the stores of Allen Solly, Van Heusen and Peter England. Inside the store, one could find an extensive range of clothes, from casuals to formals, available in diverse colors. This was a yet another encounter with the conglomerate, which few years later I would recognize it as Aditya Birla Group. Aditya Birla Group is a 162 year old conglomerate and has an enormous presence in the industry, operating across multiple segments ranging from textiles, telecommunications, financial services, retail etc. I feel immense cheer that ABG group continues to be integral part of not only my life, but also a million others.
