Aditya Birla Group, one of the biggest business empires of India houses a total of 14 industry sectors under it. There have been several beautiful and anxious moments in my life associated with this brand. In the year 2007, when my family decided to build a dream house of our own, the contractor told us to use Ultra Tech cement for the construction process and I think it was one of the best decisions. In 2018, the floods in Kerala destroyed several houses in our locality. But our house sustained the mighty floods, all thanks to Ultra Tech Cement.

Growing up in a lower middle class family, I had never imagined of buying any branded products. Remembering my childhood days, I would see my parents bargain over the goods or any paraphernalia that they used to buy. Price conscious were we! There wasn’t any explicit need that propelled us as a family to buy any branded products.

Overcoming Hardships - Woo Me Competition - Part B

The biggest challenge I ever faced was probably cracking my GMAT and NMAT exams. MBA was always my dream of mine, after having done a Master’s in International Business and when the first time I took the exam and started preparing for it, I realised how difficult it's was going be. Preparing for these exams whilst working proved to be more challenging than I imagined, after 8-9hours long of work, dedicating time to study was not easy. After having written the first mock test, I felt dejected to write the exams. Nevertheless I decided to sit for the exam again and strived my best giving in my 110%. Preparing for such exams made me realise nothing in life comes easy and everyone has to hustle in their life, kind of like what the employees and members of Aditya Birla Group do.
