Fear: An eye opener, A motivator - TAPMI

Of all the emotions a human being has, I believe fear is the most addictive one. Fear adds excitement and awe to the dullest of situations. Fear lets us move forward when challenges are being thrown at us, unless we let fear itself engulf us.

Potions of Success - TAPMI

Potions of Success - TAPMI

As rightly said, “Higher the ambitions, Greater are the hardships”. Almost everyone has some way or the other been through some kind of hardships. Most of these hardships come on the financial fronts. Similar has been the case with me while advancing a step further in my career. I completed my engineering in electronics and telecommunication and realised there are no core companies coming or giving a good package. Like other engineers, even I got into IT company with a decent package. We were supposed to go through a training and clear the test to be a part of that company. This 6 months of training period was a task for me as I had no IT background and zero interest in coding. But to clear the test and sustain in the industry, I had to give in more than 100 percent to cope up with others. Consequently, I was able to clear test as a High Performer and also received a bonus of Rs. 50,000/- for the same. Working for company for 15 months, I realised that I wanted to fly higher, for which I had to enhance my knowledge and skill-set. I decided to go for post-graduation in management. But, I was in a state where I could not afford to quit job and study for entrance exams, nor I had enough money to fund weekend classes. But I was determined to go for post-graduation. I started putting extra hours in schedule just to study and prepare on my own. Since, I was working for a USA based client, my working hours were 9:00 am to 7:00 pm which extended most of the time, in order to attend their evening and morning calls respectively. I borrowed the study material, whatever available, from friends preparing for the exams. I started studying in the morning and cut down my post-work friend time in the evening. I gave up on my Saturdays, Sundays, parties and followed the schedule for three months straight. I was able to crack the exams as well as other rounds of college admission. And now I am finally in TAPMI, one of the premier colleges in India. For me, hard-work, consistency and perseverance are the only key to face challenges which come in my path. And I am ready to face whatever challenges which are waiting ahead until I reach my goal using these three potions of success.

How I Overcame Challenges?-TAPMI

How I Overcame Challenges?-TAPMI

Every person faces multiple challenges over his lifetime, some challenges maybe small and some maybe big, but with each challenge, one acquires an experience which last for a lifetime. I would like to reminiscence the challenge I faced in turning around my academic record for the better.  Up until 9th grade I was a below average student scoring just passing marks in examinations, this was a point of concern for my parents as they would worry about my future. I, however was not bothered by this and was not putting in whole lot of efforts to study and score well in examinations. During my 9th grade, a month before the final examinations, my parents sat me down and enlightened me about the importance of quality education in life. This encouraged me to work hard and for the first time in my student life, I had dedicated my full attention to my 9th grade final examination and was able to score around 75%.

Aditya Birla Group’s Impact in my Life – TAPMI

My dad loves fashion. He believes in the philosophy that even a 15-year-old should be dressed like a gentleman. He always tells me to be well-dressed for any occasion, be it a birthday party or an interview. He introduced me to 'Peter England' when I started my college 7 years back. As a valued customer of Peter England, he gets many offers from Peter England and he used to take me to the showroom to buy clothes for me. Consequently, now my preferred choice of fashion has always been Peter England.

Post independence, India's first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, envisioned industrialisation the key to make sure that India is a self-sufficient country. On the forefront were business houses like Tata's, Birla's and Reliance that not only supported the nation's financial backbone but also helped to gain international recognition.
