From being one of the first ones to create establishments in the textile industry during the License Raj, to having so many of their group firms listed as Fortune 500 companies, Aditya Birla Group has developed beautifully and exponentially since independence.
Ever since I was a little kid, I’ve been awestruck with the colourful and innovative multitudes of products decorating the shelves of the shops across the market alleys. Admittedly, I was, at that time, too young to fully appreciate my good fortune of living at a time when India was reaping the benefits of liberalization and the massive development of the hardware of the country, i.e. the roads, ports and industrial buildings were taking place. I marvelled the giant buildings sprawling through the cities and always wondered how such structures could be so tall and yet so strong. I was told that it was the cement that keeps the building bound together and makes them so strong. I still remember watching the advertisements of “Ultratech Cement” on televisions and feel a sense of pride development in India is taking place at a rapid pace.
When I first think of “Why Aditya Birla Group is big in my life”, I think yeah I know this company, it’s in cement industry and I sometimes buy cloth from Pantaloons who give good discounts sometimes and clothes are also good and what else it can be. But when I look on the internet and researched more about “How it could be big in my life” I found out so many surprising things that find its significant presence in my life.
