Why Aditya Birla Group is important in my life?
Aditya Birla Group in short ABG has been a constant companion in everyone’s life and I am no different. ABG is a brand which resonates the Indian minds ever since India’s Independence, by its products & services it not only made an impact in the domestic market but also created the impact globally.
“Ignorance is the bliss” they say, it worked quite well for me when I was in a small town of Northern Telangana. My father was one among a thousand others who were working in Singarni coal mines. My school was 500 yards away from our quarters and getting decent grades was the only task I had. As most of the students and neighbors had the same family background, life was pretty homogeneous in nature until 2009. It was ritual in my town to send children to cities like Hyderabad or Warangal for engineering competitive coaching institutes after 10th standard. Intensive competitive environment was something I never experienced. Being a Telugu medium student, it was almost impossible to cope up with other students. Basic terminology like atom and molecule were alien to me. Self-esteem and confidence went down just like my rank in the entrance tests. Toughest period of my life, couldn’t speak to anyone. I made a decision to join a University which was 2000 km away from homeland. People tend to take risky steps when they have nothing to lose, it was one of those situations. It wasn’t easy to adjust with weather, language, cultural shocks, and food. Lord Shiva is one of my favorite character from Hindu mythology. He always appreciates and rewards a person based on his/her efforts irrespective of the background. With the same ideology, I started working on myself. Fortune favors the brave, it was that idea turned my life upside down. I held a respective position in a U.S mortgage company at Navi Mumbai after graduation. One lesson learned from this journey was “It doesn't matter what your past was. Nothing can stop you from achieving success if you have the persistence to move forward”. #AG
As we have heard life is not a bed of roses and I also believe that life without some challenges and thrill is boring. We get to test our real strength and our real will power and perseverance at that time. Challenges test your resilience towards difficult or unknown situations.
The venture from Aditya Birla Group that has been a major part of my life is Aditya Birla Fashion and Lifestyle. Fashion is something that makes me happy and Pantaloons along with Madura Fashion and Lifestyle has set a bar for fashion industry. Being a fashion enthusiast, I cannot recall any incident where I was not happy with the collection at Pantaloons. I got to choose from a big pool of brands like Van Huesen, Louis Philippe, Allen Solly and many others and all that was possible under one roof of Pantaloons.
