4 Tips To Choose The Best Printer For Your Business

4 Tips To Choose The Best Printer For Your Business

Buying a printer these days is no easy task. The sheer range of hordes of printers is flabbergasting and with so many manufacturers in the foray after your money, making the right decision can indeed be tough. However, the real game lies elsewhere, as the real money is made on the many accessories your business/ organization will be purchasing for the upkeep of that new printer purchase. What might be initially seen as a modest cost can soon shoot up over the passage of time to massive costs. Here is an inside ‘fact’ for you. The standard printer business model used by most printer vendors and manufacturers works like this- The initial printer price is inversely proportional to the price of its components. In other words, the lower the initial price tag of the printer, the higher the cost of its ink or toner. Thenceforth, the only person likely to benefit from a low-cost printer with high-cost components is someone who prints very little, and who is certainly not running a business.

Coldplay v/s British Airways : The Great Indian Paradox

Coldplay v/s British Airways : The Great Indian Paradox

India went up in arms last week when the Coldplay video Hymn for the Weekend went online, probably as a prelude to the Super Bowl 50 scheduled in a few days from now, sparking off a furious cultural debate.  People objected to the  stereotypes in the video.  Nothing wrong with stereotypes. After all the dictionary meaning of stereotype is 'a widely held but fixed and oversimplified image or idea of a particular type of person or thing.' For the masses stereotypes should work well, except that the people who criticised it for being a stereotype were from the upper echelons of Indian society (probably Coldplay target groups in India) who no doubt detest the stereotype. Because they want to think of the stereotype as the past.  Others spoke of cultural appropriation.  Cultural appropriation is a big word and  typically involves members of a dominant group exploiting the culture of less privileged groups — often with little understanding of the latter’s history, experience and traditions.  So I am not sure the phrase was being used in the right context. Unless we look at ourselves as the less privileged group here, which would indeed be very unfortunate.

Imagining India In March 2019 - Subhash Chandra, A Political Consultants View

Imagining how India will look in March 2019, a month before the next election is an interesting exercise. This is important as most parties appear to be preparing for a 2019 which looks very similar to how it looks today. However, given the direction that the Modi Govt has taken and assuming success in all the programs, India may look quite different from today. I am only focussed on issues that impact the average voter.

The Investment Debrief

The Investment Debrief

Let me give in to temptation and begin by saying that ‘All investments are subject to market risks. Please read the scheme information document carefully before investing’. Now that I have absolved myself of all the crimes I am going to commit in the coming few paragraphs (and also arson, theft, murder and sedition), let me just clear the biggest misconception people have about investments: no matter how much the word ‘in-vest’ points at something which is inside a man’s vest and no matter how much 80C seems to point at the measurement of something which is inside a woman’s vest, investments have got nothing to do with anything remotely close to a man’s/woman’s torso. In fact, it’s a subject of the heartless and occasionally, of the brainless.
