The Aditya Birla Group has truly made India proud; with its mammoth contribution across numerous sectors and thus changed the lives of millions, in the process! When I think of the group, multiple brands penetrate my mind, especially those in the textile sector as well as in telecom. Their clothing brands, Allen Solly and Van Heusen have always been my ‘Go-to’ clothing brand for formal, corporate settings right from the start. The quality and fit is superior and inherently aids in imbibing a strong sense of self-confidence. Right from my first formal interview where I tried it out for the first time, I knew that my choice was apt, so much so that now that I associate formal clothing with only these brands. Only a handful of brands can create such strong associations in a short span of time!
Being born and brought up in a middle-class family, the ability to select quality products at a competitive price has been deeply ingrained in me and my family’s DNA. My father used to take all of us to Pantaloons, Jaipur to fulfill our wishes and wants. I also took my first business suit for interview from Van Heusen. Later I got to know that both of the brands are run by the same business Group – Aditya Birla.
Here’s something you don’t think about every day, how big is a company in your life? Have you ever actually stopped to think about how a company or group of companies impact your everyday life? Well, until yesterday I had never, but then I started to notice this one name in multiple aspects of my life. I hadn’t discovered anything, it was always there but it was just one of those things you leave unnoticed, something that doesn’t register until you actually think about it. Hiding in plain sight was the name Aditya Birla Group.
Aditya Birla has just not expanded in different sector, it has associated itself with us in every walk of our life. Be it the Vodafone sim I use to have numerous calls and messages or the apparel I wear after getting up. Its product ranges from the smart formals of Allen Solly to the party wear of Van Heusen, from spunky casuals of Bare Jeans and Shirts to the Linen Club. It also have exclusive suits under Louis Philippe to offer me. It also have pantaloons and planet fashion stores there for me to choose from various collections with different price ranges. Even the house we stay is built with Ultratech cement.
The Group’s radical shift from being architects of a global India to a powerhouse across the globe & various sectors has now led to the understanding of how ABG is a big part of peoples’ lives at every step. Before today, I did not know Aditya Birla owned or is partner with so many brands in India. I have used many of the brands under Aditya Birla group and I am a fan of quite a few of them. Brands like Louis Philippe, Allen Solly, and Van Heusen are my go to brands for casual wear. Again, there is no need to go to each outlet separately when you can get them all in pantaloons strategically placed in every big city. Customer service provided and ease to exchange my product is what I admire. Well, Aditya Birla Group has played a big role in my life as well our country, from Ultratech Cement to build my house and fulfilling so many dreams of people around the country, to using Vodafone Idea cellular along with the 390mn consumers, to being official partner of premium brands like Hackett london, the way it has disrupted the markets and diversified into so many segments, fascinates me. It has a great marketing strategy and until now, it was big in my life because of the products I had used, but being an MBA student, I would instead focus on how learning marketing and management from Aditya Birla group is going to be big in my life. #NMIMSMumbai #ABGLPWooMe
