Hello everyone. This is the story of my pursuit of an MBA. This is not your typical story or redemption and its going to be quite long. Apologies to all who thought they would be reading a short write up. On a lighter note take it as an RC passage for CAT .
One never knows how quickly time passes. Well, four weeks have passed here, at Mahindra Tower, Worli, after the cheerful and insightful induction week that ended on April 6th, 2019. The real work had begun since then. I am the only intern placed in the finance department at the group corporate office. I joined the investor relation team of Mahindra & Mahindra Limited. The labor began from the 1st Monday as the project requirements, expectations and deliverables were communicated during the orientation week itself.
This is the inspiring story of success against all odds of Manavdeep Singh. His journey bears a testimony to the fact that grit and hardwork alone can make one tide against every force of the world and achieve what one wishes for. Here's a little about Manavdeep:
F.R.I.E.N.D.S - The TV series that has us all laughing hard, no matter how many number of times we have already watched it. The iconic group of six taught us a number of lessons about careers, friendship, love and life. After the nice induction, now it was time for some real work. It was time to solve the challenging business problems, learn some essential skills that would come handy later in life.
Designed by the great architect, Charles Correa, Mahindra Research Valley has been planned in synergy with mother nature where the 125 acres space has only 24 acres as built up area while the rest are covered in green. I still remember my first day at MRV Chennai distinctly where I saw a lot of camouflaged vehicles being tested in the facility and these beauties were nothing but amazing. I walked in to the main reception and saw a full scale tractors in the lobby, shinning in red, and at that moment I felt really lucky to be working right at the grass-root where the change actually happens. A great man had once told me, “Learn what business does the organization do and everything shall follow.” There is nothing better to start learning from the products itself, the very reason why they are built, who all are involved and how are they produced.
