The Last Few Days To CAT | What To Do And What Not To?

With less than a month to go, every CAT aspirant will be on their toes. I remember that in the last month, I was in a quandary that should I learn more words like quandary or practice more probability problems, which was like kryptonite to my superman, or focus on solving the dreadful DILR problems. And apart from the subject-specific preparation, there was newspaper reading, full mock tests, my job, and whatnot. I was overwhelmed with so much to do in such a tiny amount of time. Looking back in hindsight, I think I took the correct steps and scored well finally (99.63%ile). Let me share what I did and what you can do in the last few days.

The only thing that makes CAT appear to be tough is your perception of how you see it. With only 30 days left for the exam, it is time to let go of the books. More than preparation, it is the time for self-introspection. Not to scare you peeps, but life ahead is much tougher than what this exam might feel like to you. Just believe in yourself, now you are done with your preparations. What is left is to step back into reality, and actually knowing what your string points and your weak points are. And this is not middle school, where you have to work on your weak areas. It is just the opposite, now is the time to identify them and letting go of them. Know the strong areas, hold on to them, grind them even further.

How To Crack WAT-GD-PI Post CAT

It’s that time of the year. Every MBA aspirant is revising formulas of the quant section, taking and analysing as many mocks they can. Some are pondering why their marks in the verbal section are not improving, some are enquiring in Iquanta who all are there in the same slot as of them on the D-Day. Believe me – we all have gone through the same set of ordeals. After one month or so, you’ll all appear for CAT/XAT/IIFT/SNAP, for some examinations will be good, for some they will be bad. You’ll start matching answers from TIME, IMS, CL and if you don’t, no worries. You’ll find it out soon in the first or second week of January. But the question is will a good CAT/XAT/IIFT/SNAP score only be enough to secure admission in a premier B-school of the country?

How To Crack The CAT Decoded

With less than two months to go, the aspirants of CAT 2019 are at the most stressful times of their preparation. Anxiety and anticipation often bring their morale down. "Am I going in the right direction? Are these the right study materials? What if the questions are different from what I have solved? I keep forgetting the formulae of quants. DI and LR are complicated to solve, even while solving at home. How am I going to score in this subject, especially when the questions of DI&LR are so unpredictable? How many questions to solve in DI&LR to fare well in the exam? Why do I do so much negative in VA&RC? Para-jumbles are confusing; I am often split between options. Are the most obvious answers usually wrong in VA&RC? Do I go with my gut feeling? Is that why I get so many questions wrong? I can't read fast enough to solve RC problems." - The questions are endless, and most students make the mistake of trying to solve a question before understanding why the examiner chose to ask that question.
