With a large number of universities (imparting ‘higher level’ education, especially that pertaining to management) mushrooming in almost every nook and corner of the world, the concept of learning has somewhat become synonymous to getting good grades by hook or by crook. This has somewhat blurred the thin line that exists between learning for the love of it and studying just to earn a quick buck.
Oil, the ‘black gold’ as many people call it, is the most valuable three letter word today. Speaking about India, nearly one – third of the country’s energy supply comes from Oil and it is a heart of the country’s economy. It is interesting to know that in 2011, the domestic work force serving the oil and gas industry numbered 141929 to be precise. Out of this total manpower resource, the majority were employed in the ‘oil Marketing Sector’, followed by ‘exploration and production sector’ and the ‘refining sector’.

Pursuing an MBA is indeed a great investment towards future-proofing your career. But how much mileage you are able to derive from your MBA experience relies, not in any small measures, on the level of preparation, and the level of learning, you come into an MBA program with. And there is nothing like a good on-the-job experience to prepare you for a fruitful MBA journey.
I deliberated a lot. Finally, I decided against putting this on my personal blog and thought I should engage on this issue on a bigger platform. Also, I believe general elections impact every citizen in India including the management graduates fraternity.
